    Good Morning

    Shavette Shave #382
    Dovo
    Personna Hairshaper Blade (2)
    Rockwell Synthetic Brush
    Shannon's Soap The Warrior SS
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 41 hrs

Well we are having a respite from the heat wave on Long Island so there's no urgent need for the Cryogen. I decided to use Shannon's The Warrior instead. It produces a nice creamy slick lather which is needed for my almost 2 days stubble.

    20220726_092613.jpg

It's also the reason why I choose the Dovo because the blade only had one shave on it and therefore, I needed a very sharp blade to mow down my stubble quite easily.
I am glad to say that I was near BBS after the first pass, but I always do two and finished with a BBS shave without errors. I have to say that this was one of my best shavette shaves.

Unsurprisingly, I did get some alum feedback on my neck, but nothing serious. Topped the shave with witch hazel and that wonderful barbershop aftershave.
    Have a terrific day.

Hopefully I can get by without the AC today(we have a relief from the heat, too).

@wristwatchb, thanks for your "like". I may have you in mind for a potential PIF of my Beau Brummel soap(Mama Bear). I'm sure it would give me a fine shave(as you can tell, I've yet to use it), but I'm not sure I can handle the powerful tobacco scent, and I know you're a fan of said scent. Stay tuned....

Hello Paul, and thanks for thinking of me. I hope you're pleased with the performance and scent of the Beau Brummel soap. I wonder if leaving the container open for awhile would reduce the scent strength? It might even work great as a mosquito repellent on your patio. :D

I'm well stocked with soaps. Maybe one of other gents here would be interested should you decide to PIF it.

How are you doing? All good here. We've been travelin' a bit - Florida, Italy and Minnesota this year - but we're home now, and it feels good! In addition to the children's hospital, I plan to volunteer one morning each week in a Kindergarten classroom this year. I may even tag along with the kiddos for the "cardboard pizza" in the school lunchroom. :)

I just commissioned a new watch over the weekend. I like this one because it has good lume, and I can read the time at night without my glasses. :D Got anything headed your way on a UPS truck? We all gotta do our part to keep the economy strong!!!

In the past, I have subbed kindergarten classes. The young children are such a joy and they are just open to new experiences. They also respect the adults. You will definitely enjoy being with them Charlie.

I got so busy yesterday that, I never did shave. By the time I could have shaved, it was late in the day so, I decided to hold off till today. I had 2 musician friends call me to coax me to a music jam at the local senior center. The Featherweight had shaved me so close that I really didn't need to shave. Today's shave was very pleasant with the GEM Featherweight. I think I have mastered this razor. No cuts, nicks, or weepers! ;)

    Razor - GEM Featherweight
Blade - GEM Personna SS 7th shave (still sharp!)
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Brush - Simpson Trafalgar T1
    Pre - Proraso "Blue" (cooling)
After shave - Thayers & Geo F Trumper "Skin Food" Sandalwood balm

I had a VERY pleasant 2-pass shave with cleanup on jawline. This is a very efficient razor! I can go 2 days after shaving with this razor no problem. WTG, ATG and no cuts! No red spots! No red cream! I like it! LOL

I am still keeping low profile today due to back still sore but MUCH better. I been living on pain pills. Oh, and it looks like Vance & Hines is replacing the whole exhaust system for me!:)
I thought companies didn't support their products these days (buyer beware) so, this is a pleasant surprise. Totally unexpected! Must have been the nasty email. LOL

The MWF is holding up well to the whole month using it except for weekends. It is getting down to the unscented puck under it.

I hope all have a good day and not too hot! I wish I could go for ride today on bike but, I will let my back totally heal. Maybe I will mow grass today. It's been over 2 weeks!

I was starting to worry because it hurt in the same area as my kidney pain but was a LOT more intense. I was worried that kidney had taken a big turn for the worst. They can really hurt at times. I may have burst one of the cysts on my left kidney because the pain was focused there. The last 2 days it has improved immensely. They give me good pain pills for the kidney pain. I also use turmeric mixed with tomato juice. It is a good anti-imflamatory

    Thanks, Joe!
