I was inspired by some of you bringing out your SE's this week so I figured I might as well join the party.
I picked out my Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender and to me its just an awesome scent. As I am bowl lathering, the scent easily wafts through the air. This is a very slick soap that loves water and lathers well as you can see below:

    20220727_162234.jpg

I had enough lather for 3 passes on my face and 3 passes for my dome. Got BBS all around without blood or irritation.
I got very little feedback so it was a smooth and comfortable shave. Witch hazel and that wonderful matching aftershave topped off a great shave. Have a great evening.

I shaved today with the VDH, a fresh Derby Extra, some Stirling Soap, and a Hi-Synthetic Omega brush

Everything went very good. like a 9/10. Next month I am going to keep everything the same except I am going to go for a sharper blade

    Greetings,

An enjoyable fantastic shave to finish my shaving week off in style.

Second use of the Lea Classic Cream since it was kindly gifted to me providing a wonderful slick protective lather with no drying out issues.

The sandalwood scent is different comparing it to the Proraso sandalwood scent it's more of a light fresh sweet scent to my nose with a nice mild menthol kick feels cooling which is perfect for summer and pairs together well with the Floid ASL.

Throughout the month i've had some fantastic shaves with both my vintage & modern SE razors. Today was no exception...The Schick Japanese Twin are an amazing blade, on it's 7th outing it still feels smooth & efficient with no indication of dulling in the slightest..

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

My face is feeling cool, smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay Safe, and enjoy your day Ladies & Gentlemen.

Wonderful shave Barry. I been putting of using my Schick E3 razor because of the Pella Blades, but I might give it a try soon. Take care.

Today was another pleasant shave with my 1956 (B) Gillette SS Flaretip with a fresh BIC blade. Being it was afresh blade, I did get a little feedback from the alum bar. Still very nice 2-pass shave with cleanup.

1956 (B) Gillette Super Speed Flaretip
    BIC blade 1st use
    Castle Forbes "Lavender"
    Proraso White Pre-shave
    Simpson T1 Trafalgar synthetic brush
Thayers Toner with Witch Hazel & Aloe
    Captain's Choice "Venture" A/S Balm

It's always nice shave with my SS Flaretip. The BIC blade is VERY sharp! Nice and smooth. I did raise a couple red spots but, the alum took care of them. Minor feedback from the alum bar. Shaved WTG, ATG, and minor cleanup. This may be a mild razor but, it shaves very close with a fresh blade! I had not used Lavender in a long time and when I saw Joe use it, I just hadta use mine!

I hope ll have a great day. Low profile for me......sore from mowing.

Oh, and on another note, YES, Vance & Hines is sending me a whole new exhaust system! No charge!

A great shave this morning-the combination I used just might work in the summer. I had the Razorock Italian Shaving Soap(Savon Au Barbe) followeed by Osage Rub. The soap jum[ed onto the razor in fine fashion-about 0:30 was all I needed at the loading dock. Great work most all around. One polka-dot did show up at S.Porcupine, but the Osage killed ir with its cold sensation. You notice I said the combination "just might" work in summer-I'll have to see how I feel as the day goes on...that is, how long will the Osage last? If I'm left with the hot feel of the soap before day's end, I'll have to use a different cold aftershave, like Stoylin Lime. I just used the Osage, thinking how much of a staple it is in barbershops, and that it would he a great match for the "Savon Au Barbe" soap. But the shave itself-Outta This World Excellent.
