    Screwtape A Shaving Butterfly

Thursday July 28 - sort of patriotic

Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black with SE comb plate / Supply Black Label (15) -- American razor / Japanese blade
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 2 Synthetic -- as English as they come
Soap: MWF -- English and I believe northern English at that (my mother's family came from both sides of the Scottish Border)
Post: Osma alum then rinse -- French

Last shave was Sunday morning, so a four-day stubble to mow. One pass got it done.

The blade was still good on its 15th use, and I believe it should be good for a few more shaves still. So I have no complaints about this Supply Black Label blade.

I was a little too brisk in my shaving perhaps, because the alum felt a bit warm in places this morning. No real sting though.

Hope everyone has a good Thursday!

I am like on a 36 hr cycle per shave so I alternate between day and night shaves. If I shave at night, then there's no need for me to shave the following day. The exceptions are if I am going to church or a social event. Don't forget that I shave my dome as well and that's usually done when I am not shaving my face and neck. So in effect, I am shaving almost every day. I rarely do a complete above-the-shoulder shave because it would take me a good 30 to 40 minutes to do it and I really don't like to spend to much time in the bathroom.

Ouch! That had to hurt. I hate stubbing my toe because the pain lasts for a minute or so and it feels like it never ends.

I decided to finish out the week with the Lakewood Soap. The Dogwoods Handcraft brush turned a gram (small almond size) of soap into a nice creamy and luxurious lather. The three pass shave was absolutely a joy.

I hope you all had a nice day.
