I had that problem for a while, but I got a great lather from my C&E Nomad soap last night. I was surprised. I'd been using creams a lot lately because the intrigue of the dairy queen peak on my brush is irresistable, but I tried the soap last night because it had been a while since I'd used it. I was actually impressed. I got a really nice lather going with just soap. I did find it a little bit drying and my shave wasn't entirely smooth, but I kind of think my Wapi needs to be honed so it could've been partly the razor that was at fault.
Yeah, you're probably right. I don't think there'd be enough Menthol in the world to cool that hot of a soap!
I personally think the best tallow soap out there today is the Art of Shaving. My favorite among them is the unscented because of the sensitivity issue I have been having lately. As for a strickly glycerine soap............ VDH. It is cheap, easy to find, and is a damn good glycerine SS. Now for the Glycerin/Clay soap..... Between Colleen and JoAnna, I cannot make a choice. What I would like to do though, is get a puck of each of thier unscented soaps and mill them together. The best of both ladies!!
Favorite soap Vintage Old Spice Tabac QED Mocha Suzie's Bubbles Black Cherry(shea butter) Tryphon Permafrost I have lots of soap, but these are the ones I keep going back to. Larry
A few of my favorites: Penhaligon's English Fern soap DR Harris (almond, lavender & Arlington) Trumper (rose, limes and sandalwood) Valobra stick (milled) MWF and Institut Karite (both are good, but can be fussy to lather)
