What shavette did you use today?

I just found this thread and all these great pictures are making me want to pull out my barber razors and jump in. I am busy with testing out several recent DE purchases before I jump back into the barber razor realm. Thanks everyone for the great pictures and shave information!

Today was Shave #11 with the Focus R-28. Fresh Wilkinson Sword (India) blade, Viking Revolution "Clary Sage" soap puck, Semogue boar brush, and Cella aftershave (I'm a Cella fella). Very nice shave!

Cella is an awesome shave soap.

 

The shave with the Feather DX was nice. I did manage to get a nick on the corner of my mouth! I am amazed at how close these Guard blades can shave! Not as close on my neck but passable. I even have the switching hands working better for me and not as awkward.

Washed face and pre-heated bowl/brush. I bloomed the MWF with hot water. I am getting to the bottom of the TOBS Herbal Gel. Not getting again. Works nice but, not for the price! I did a 2-pass with minor cleanup along jawline. WTG & ATG. I did get some feedback from the alum bar due to trying so hard to get close on my jawline! Right side is hardest!

But, I seem to have the DX somewhat dialed in. It did not bite me with lots of cuts. I did re-open a cut on my corner of the mouth. I had both shavettes out in case I had trouble using the DX but, I did not end up using the japanese style.

Passable shave that was enjoyable. I do need more practice with the DX so, I will use it for a few days.

 

I had another pleasant shave that was real close with the Feather DX. Minor feedback from the alum bar but no cuts, nicks, or errors. I am seeing more Hawk razors so, I will switch to the Hawk for the weekend!

I think I have the DX dialed in well. No cuts and minor feedback from alum. I am amazed at how close this razor shaves with the ProGuard blade. My cheeks, chin, and under the nose get just as close as using a DE razor. VERY light touch is all that is needed. My cheeks were close enuff after the first pass! If not for my neck area & jawline, I would not need a second pass with this shavette! I do need to work at getting closer on my neck without irritation. I am simply amazed by this shavette!

Very nice 2-pass shave with no cleanup. i didn't want to create any irritation so, I stopped at 2 passes. Nice and close! I am amazed at how nice this shavette shaves! 2-pass WTG & ATG with no cleanup. No cuts, nicks, or errors. Zero feedback from alum bar.

 

I used my Feather Artist Club SR kamisori razor with a Kai Captain Titan Mild blade today and I was very happy with the results.
