30 Day Rule/Focus; August 2022

Ok I decided to test lather The Shave Den Orange Soap before I hit the sack. This time I decided to bloom the soap. I used the bloom water to wet my face. Again, there wasn't any scent coming through. However, it did lather much more easily. The lather was better. It was creamier, but it still was thin. I am fine with it because as I washed it off I could feel the slickness. I relathered my face 2 more times so I know that I would have enough lather without going back to the puck. I would this is a non-tallow soap based on the low structure of the soap. My final thoughts are that it's a good soap for its price point and that it would be better if the scent strength was higher.

hi,
i have been very busy this month. recently joined a new company, and it is new i mean dust and gas new. so we are preparing procedures that nobody will read etc.

as it is summer, i mostly use Arko to clean my oily face. But not today

today is a bit cooler, so i used my favorite soap. Gatlinburg

brush: yaqi butterscotch
soap: Stirling Gatlinburg
razor: DE89
blade: Rapira Stainless
AS: Proraso Alum Block
with cold water and face lathering.

You're welcome Gary. I call it like I see it. I just want to say that her other base formula may be much better in scent strength.

Aug 12. Paulie's Photo Countdown: 40 days

Today is a non-shave day for me.

 

A clarification is in order about my new shave soap from Pasteur's. The other day I described it as a "dupe" of Old Spice Shulton. After further review, it is "inspired" by Old Spice. "Inspired by" doesn't quite make it a dupe, right?

 

The poor piana.

 

I'd have a problem with a "no-shave" day.

 

Everyone is different. I get really close shaves that I can wait until 36 hrs before I need to shave. Personally, it's good for me to rest my skin 2 days a week.

 

Every picture may tell a story, but my favorite from Stewart will always be Maggie May, with First Cut Is The Deepest and "You Wear It Well"(I think that's the correct title)tied for second.

 

I can play that song on guitar. (Maggie May) The group I sometimes jam with introduced the song to us. Not hard to play.
