I never had that problem because I hydrate my soaps to a fault because shaving with straights requires it and I carry it over when I shave with my safeties. Arko loves water. If you haven't already, I would suggest bowl lathering it because I get a richer lather than if I load the brush on the puck for face lathering. However, I do get a nice lather with both methods.

:signs001: Joe. My first slant was the 37c too,but not long after I purchased it I bought the 39c from a friend who couldn't gel with it. Out of of the two I prefer the 37c,but the 39c is still a firm favourite.

I was so busy running around yesterday that I did not shave. By the time I could, it was late so, I decided to wait. Very nice shave this morning

    Razor - Parker 87R
Blade - BIC Chrome Platinum (1st use)
    Soap - TOBS Lavender
    Pre-shave - Proraso White
Brush - Simpson T2 Trafalgar synthetic
Post shave - alum bar, Thayers Toner, & Captain's Choice "Venture"
    Aftershave - Pinaud Clubman

I filled the scuttle with hot water to warm it up. Cool mornings have returned so, a warm lather is nice. I probably could have whisked longer but, this worked well. TOBS is always very rich lather. 2 -pass shave with cleanup left me super smooth! I did manage a couple of weepers that needed the "Leak stopper". Still a nice shave with minimal feedback from the alum bar.

I had errands to run and yes, my stomach is almost back to normal. Normal for now until the next time I trigger the colitis by eating something that irritates it.

Thanks very much Joe-I'm sure I'll have a question or 20 as I keep reviewing this. What may..MAY..happen is I'll get it done and forget what I did TO succeed. But this is a great guide. And now my first question-are steps 1-6 done on the phone after snapping the photo?

DE Shave # 420 - Adjustable August- Weekends

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Ming Shi Futur Clone
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: Brent Jacobson Tamarind and Ebony w/ Paragon 24mm boar
    Lather: Stirling Spice
    Aftershave: B & M Reserve Spice
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Perfect day for some Stirling Spice/B & M Reserve Spice shave. I do not have much on the agenda except possibly taking advantage of the cooler temperatures to split some wood and stop by the farmer’s market in Port Jefferson. Other than that, relax and enjoy the day.

Excellent three pass shave with the Futur Clone razor. The post shave supported this assessment with a silent alum report. Following the witch hazel, balm and splash my face feels great and I smell absolutely divine. How do you like the apples Charlie, @wristwatchb?

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

Y'know, speakina Spice, I don't see any aftershaves in the CVS or supermarket. Supply chain problem, perhaps? New Spice, that is.
