I couldn't stop myself! I do need REAL menthol, I have the Ghost Town Barber, and I like Orange Creamsicles....

You are going to freeze your face off, but you will enjoy it. I would not bloom Cryogen or use a wet brush to load it. I would use a dry synthetic brush and tap the brush about 8 to ten times into the puck. Manually wet your face and face lather. Don't go back to the puck with your wet brush. Just add water in small increments on the brush and face lather again. Keep repeating until you get the lather you want and the amount of lather on your brush. I found that if you wet the Cryogen puck, then you will use it up at an alarming rate. On my first puck, I had about 15 shaves and the entire soap was gone. I was upset, but I decided to do this method with my second puck of Cryogen and it worked. Also, due to the highly concentrated menthol, it picks up the water from the air so it tends to get very soft and that's normal. Therefore, it makes it easier to dryload the brush fir subsequent shaves.

I am not sure of the reasons but they decided to close up shop. I hope it was not serious (ie significant illness etc)

Thanks Joe. It is a shame because it has a decent lather. Joanna makes a non-lanolin base and I am not sure if it is tallow or vegan. Originally, I thought that the lanolin version doesn't let the scents be very expressive, but then it occurred to me that Stirling soaps contain lanolin and the scent strength is fine. Maybe, I will bring one of the pucks and you can smell for yourself at our next meeting.
