You need to clean that hair ball out of the sink.

 

No shave today.

The Tatara Nodachi took such good care of me yesterday that I've just got fine stubble this morning.

 

I had a breakthru shave with the Hawk. Today, I shaved with a Professional blade and didn't cut myself! Menthol Monday

Razor - Hawk v3 with open comb base plate
Blade - Feather Professional (4th shave)
Pre-shave - Proraso Blue
Soap - Proraso Green menthol
Brush - Simpson "Commodore"
Post-Shave - Thayers Toner & Geo F Trumper "Skin Food" Sandalwood
AS - Pinaud Clubman

Menthol Monday and cold water shave. I wet the brush and loaded it in the menthol Proraso for about a minute and then switched to the lather bowl. I had to add some water and in about a minute had rich lather. Cold water rinse as well.

I was going to use the Titan Mild blade again but, changed my mind at the last minute and put in a Feather Professional blade I had been using. Ride the cap! VERY light touch got me super close in 2 passes WTG & ATG. I got a couple weepers on my chin but, cold water stopped them. Alum bar gave minimal feedback. I will use the same razor/blade tomorrow too! This Hawk v3 is an impressive shaver. I won't say that I have tamed the beast yet tho. I will put a few more error free shaves behind me first!

 

It is great when you get so close that you can skip a day.

 

Congrats on moving in a positive direction! Awesome shave Hogie! I had my setup picked last night for this evening's shave and Pinaud-Clubman aftershave is on the menu. Great minds think alike. Lol!

That Hawk shaves so nice, I will use it for a few more shaves using the Professional blade. The new soaps will be here today so, one will be used tomorrow. Yes, Pinaud is a favorite!

Another glorious shave with the MMBT and Darkfall combination. I know the calendar is approach the Fall season but Senior Summer is gallantly holding on with another disgustingly warm and humid day. Rain is I. The forecast however so far it is pretty much a no show. We could use it.

Three passes is my norm. The MMBT just delivers a super smooth and comfortable shave as long a you respect the razor. I think Joe and Barry, @Trigger and @palmolive fox, would agree. Hey Paul, @Paul Turner, perhaps a GEM type razor may be one you would like. Easy to load and extremely pleasurable to use.

The post shave alum report was silent. I added a little Osage Rub to the post shave routine to add a little coolness to the face feel. It was refreshing.

Dome was buzzed with the shears prior to this morning’s shower.

originally from a badly water damaged New Somerset set.
the handle was badly stained and case rusted and pitted/pinholed from the inside out.
the head was unscathed..
