You have some unorthodox methods as well.

ie. Putting a little water in the soap tub, covering it, shaking it up and using some of the foam created as a pre shave.

Wow! I'm so thankful you are o.k. and it did not tear up more than it did.

Let's us know when you get it all back together and share a few pictures of it going back together.

Thanks Joe. I think Yaqi calls it the Crystal Lake.

    Take care.

Thanks Joe. I recommend Arko to anyone looking for a budget soap. Col. Cronk is less expensive, but I have never tried it.

Thanks Danny. To be honest, I am glad that 95% of my mishaps are minimal and that was the case with this shave. It usually happens when I am on autopilot and just not being laser focused. Lol! If I didn't have a soft touch, then I definitely would have unnatural character lines all over my face. Lol!

Yes, he purrs while I bathe him and will lick my arms. He absolutly HATES the blow dryer. It's a double barrel one.
He normally gets bath every 4-6 weeks but, it has been so hot and humid I put it off for 3 months.

A big part of the problem is that Harley doesn't use a castellated nut & cottor pin like all the other bikes I have ever owned. No, they use an "E" ring that simply keeps the nut from falling off. The old way kept it tight. "E" ring not so much.

Do they have a torque spec?

I would have thought they would have used a castlelated nut with a cotter pin through it for safety.

At any rate, with over 21,000 miles on it, the belt is within replacement range.

I know I had tightened it but, maybe I did not get it tight enuff. I change the rear tire every year since getting the bike in 2013 and this is the first time it loosened. I never had it happen with any other bike I have owned.

When working on airplanes, we never re-used hardware. Each time you remove the nut, it wears and gets looser. I am going to have to be sure I get it VERY tight and check it now and then. I had bought the covers that go over the axle nut and end and that hid the loose nut. I am not putting them back on...
