I am going to do what I do with all of my soft soaps and use my spoon to measure.

Tatara Nodachi cap, Masamune closed comb plate and handle.
    Feather blade (2).
Yaqi Artic Sky Deep Blue two band badger brush.
    Mitchell’s Wool Fat soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
    Royal Copenhagen cologne.

The Fat had to come out and play today!

I was thinking about Jeff @jgreenepa this morning while I was whipping up the Fat. He is a Fat fan boy. I hope he is doing well.

Three very nice smooth passes. The Tatara continues to impress.

    Happy Friday everyone!

That's fine as long as you don't add water to the puck and that you have enough soap in your bowl. In my experience, Cryogen is easier to facelather than to bowl lather.

I don't remember it, sorry. How different is it than lathering other freezers(Stoylin Glacials, etc). ?

If you load Cryogen with a damp brush off the puck, then you will be using more soap than needed and the puck becomes goopy. In fact, the water doesn't evaporate and the soap stays goopy.
To prevent this, I wet my face and then use a dry synthetic brush and tap the soap 8 to 10 x . The soap is soft so loading the brush this way is fine. Apply the brush to the wet face and lather. You will have to continue wetting the tips a few times until you get a decent lather. You will have enough lather on the brush for w more passes so you don't have to take your wet brush to add more soap from the puck. Again, you are preventing the goopy mess by introducing water to the Cryogen puck. Cryogen is a soft soft and has the highest menthol concentration and therefire, it sucks up moisture to the point that it becomes similar to the texture of Vaseline. Finally, I would recommend using a synthetic brush with this soap while using my aforementioned method of loading the brush.

Arko is the absolute business. I am yet to find a soap, at any price point, that outperforms it for slickness with my water and my face!

Pleasant shave with my open comb Micromatic. Blade used up and binned. 10 shaves and prolly could have done more but, why push it when I have plenty of blades?

    Razor - Micromatic open comb
Blade - GEM Personna SS (10th shave)
    Pre-shave - Proraso White
    Soap - Captain's Choice "Italia"
Brush - Simpson T3 Trafalgar synthetic
Post Shave - Thayers Toner "Rose Petal" & Geo F Trumper Skin Food
    AS - Captain's Choice "Italia"

Showered and warmed the bowl & brush. The Micromatic gave a very pleasant close 2-pass shave WTG & ATG with no cleanup. The blade was still going strong and no tugging. I can tell it is losing it's edge tho. Italia has a very nice barber scent but, not as rich as TOBS. I measured soap with my spoon. I do not bloom the soft soaps. It's a little more work to get the lather but, it works for me. I shook most of the water out of the brush and did not have to add any more. No errors to report and alum bar gave no feedback at all. I mark this one down as a most pleasant shave.

Back to the Hawk v3 for the weekend to finish a Professional blade. Open comb, of course.

I will give the Cryogen a try on Monday. It is the same consistency as my soft soaps so, I will try my usual method of scooping with my spoon. These soft soaps are between a hard puck and the cream soaps in consistency.
