I had another pleasant shave that was real close with the Feather DX. Minor feedback from the alum bar but no cuts, nicks, or errors. I am seeing more Hawk razors so, I will switch to the Hawk for the weekend!

45 degrees here this morning. Summer is over!

    Razor - Feather DX shavette
Blade - Feather ProGuard 2nd shave
    Pre-shave - TOBS Herbal Gel
Soap - TOBS Mr Taylor's Shaving Soap
    Brush - Simpson T3 Trafalgar
Post Shave - Thayers Toner "Rose Petal" & Geo F Trumper Skin Food
AS - Pinaud Clubman "Whiskey Woods"

I think I have the DX dialed in well. No cuts and minor feedback from alum. I am amazed at how close this razor shaves with the ProGuard blade. My cheeks, chin, and under the nose get just as close as using a DE razor. VERY light touch is all that is needed. My cheeks were close enuff after the first pass! If not for my neck area & jawline, I would not need a second pass with this shavette! I do need to work at getting closer on my neck without irritation. I am simply amazed by this shavette!

2-pass shave WTG & ATG with minor cleanup on neck. I could really go 2 days without shaving with this one! The TOBS soap is luxury.

Tomorrow I switch to the Hawk v3. I am seeing more Hawk here razors now!

You're welcome David. At least once a month, I download a personal YouTube shaving tutorial or from other shave YouTubers. I am planning on doing a shavette video this month.

I am really impressed by my Feather DX. It shaves really close! I could get by with a 1-pass shave with it. Especially with the ProGuard blades

Fabulous Fat Friday shave Danny. I haven't seen anyone pull out the MWF in awhile. Have a great day!

Awesome shave Hogie! I am glad that I have another shavette buddy. Shavettes and straights have a bad reputation, but once you master these razors, it's just an enjoyable experience. On a side note, I am sure that you will have a few more warm days before the end of October. Enjoy your day!

When I use my open blade razors, I can get away with one pass because it would be a socially acceptable shave, but I do two passes because I like the smooth feel of my face and neck.

It's a no shave day for me.
I am not sure what razor will get the call tomorrow, but a Stirling soap will definitely be in my setup.

Yes, same here. This is why I did a second pass.

Very nice shave today. This was my third or fourth go with the A&E Chase The Dragon soap, but my first try with the aftershave/cologne. As I indicated yesterday, the scent was my bathroom. Definitely manly. Pulling out the soap again, I recalled how easy it was(is)to work your way from top to bottom. Takes in water real well. Slow&steady wins the race. No cuts, no Knicks and one polka-dot. Again I succeeded in negotiating my toughest spot(right side jawline, under the ear). 2 passes. Most Excellent. Sophisticated goo for the weekend.

I think my first one will be of something unrelated to shaving, just for a test run.

That's fine Paul. If you pass the first run, then you know you're solid and you can have a better experience with posting.

Thank you Joe....The aftershave has the appearance of a cologne, but I just unscrewed the top, took out the stick thingy, and voila-aftershave nation.

Actually, I already have snapped photos with the cell-phone, of things I didn't mean to shoot(my legs while sitting down, sections of my apartment,). Funny, I suppose.

Sadly, MWF didn't work with me. I do better with sheep tallow.
