Guess I'll have to drive up to NH or down to Connecticut to "bet" that I can get my first photo done by 9-21.

    Growth: Two day beard.

Prep: Warm shower: Stirling Sheep bar soap

Pre: Washed face with Stirling Glacial unscented pre-shave soap then reapplied before lathering.

    Brush: RV 25 mm STF

Lather : Razorock XXX Italian shaving soap

Blade: Kai Captain Titan Mild (D2)

    Razor: Razorock Hawk V3
    Base Plate: Standard
    Handle: Razorock Barber Pole

Post: unscented Stirling witch hazel and Trumpers skin food (sandalwood)

Did a two pass shave. The large knob at the end of the barber pole handle (in addition to the knurling on the handle body) gave me a more confident grip when doing the south/north diagonal pass today. Curving the handle to maintain angle as I transitioned from the neck to under the jaw made for a better shave with no irritation. I flattened the skin between my lower lip and chin today and instead of a weeper, I had a tiny nick off to one side (where the skin transitions to another curve). I think that I will try a different way to flatten that skin on the next shave. I had another tiny nick on my neck after the two passes.

I have a circle of hair that grows on the right side of my neck, so I decided to do an 'X' pattern ( a pass in each diagonal direction to make an 'X') to see what would happen. That definitely knocked down more of the remaining stubble in that area.

The skin food had a little burn in the mustache area only, so that tells me my angles are getting better on the rest of my face. I did have less stubble in the mustache area today but I do wonder if I went to the 'A' plate if I would have to go over that area less and have less irritation. I was also surprised that the shave was not all that close on my chin. Maybe with the standard plate (with the Kai Captain Titan Mild blade) you need to do three passes to smooth things out. I know that a three pass shave is considered a standard in some circles, but I usually only do two passes with touch ups (if needed). This shave was a SAS+. I think my next shave will debut the 'A' plate.

Great shot and shave Daniel! Following the contours of your jawline and chin gives many shavers fits. I suggest lifting the skin up over the jawline to shave that area that is normally below the jawline. This way you don't have to fumble going over and under the jawline. The chin has a different issue. You can suck in your lower mouth or do a tight lipped smile to flatten and stretch the skin. Getting around the chin bulb and on to your neck takes practice. The best way is to let the razor follow the bulb by you guiding it with very little pressure.

    Good afternoon.

I am getting ready for Sunday services so I first did a headshave with my Rockwell 6C and needless to say it was a BBS shave. It turns out plate # 4 is my sweet spot, in spite my love for going to the most aggressive plate #6 LOL!
Anyway, let me describe my face shave. I really hydrated this soap to a rich, creamy slick, lather. Did a 2 pass shave that I will call near BBS because it was BBS with the grain and just under BBS against the grain. I felt no need to do any pickups because the shave was fine. Didn't get any blood showing and 8 was irritation free.
Slight alum feedback and the alcohol based Pinaud-Clubman didn't give me any burn so I would say this was a closeXans very comfortable shave. I was in the middle of videoing this shave, but my phone fell off my makeshift stand so I had to scratch it. Thank God that was the only thing that was scratched. Lol!
    Have a great afternoon!

Before you hit post reply, right next to it is the upload file. Hit that button and it should bring you to your photo. Now, I don't know how your phone works, but the main premise is that you hit the photo you want to share and the prompt will say done or select. When you do that, it will bring you back to the comment section with a small rectangular window with a code that represents your file for that photo. Hit the close button and it will download into the comment box. Hit reply and you posted your first pic.

You're welcome. If my camera didn't drop, then you would have seen an example of my stretching with explanations. I will have to do another video shave next week.

I just go slow and very light. No pressure. I can follow the contour of my face as it changes below the jawline and change the angle to match. My chin can be more difficult. I seem to have no problem getting chin with the Feather DX.
I must say that I find shaving with the shavette very nice!

After you hit select, it should bring you back to that black rectangular box that you hit in the beginning to upload your pic.

@Paul Turner, Let's go step by step.
First, go to the comment window (box) on our thread. Do you see the button that says upload file. If you do hit it and you should see a tiny rectangular box. It has 2 buttons upload file and close. Hit upload file and it should take you to your photo. Hit the photo and you will see select. Hit select and it will say done or it will bring you back to the original black rectangular box, but with the file code number of your pic. If done shows up in the selection, then hit that and it should bring you back to the original rectangular box with the file code number inside the box. At that point hit close and the pic will take a few moments to be posted in the comment window. At that point, hit post replay and you will have posted your first pic.

    Thanks Gary!

I don't seem to have these issues with my Yates 921. I just have to figure out how it works with the Hawk V3. Will see if the 'A' plate gives a closer shave.

I know my Feather SR kamisori is calling, but I am resisting at the moment. That would have been my focus this month if I didn't pick up a good deal on a used Hawk V3. I find the Feather more forgiving than my Kai Captain standard.
