Greetings, gentlemen. I hope everyone is doing well. I have been a bit busy, again, so I haven't been very active here.

I have been shaving pretty much exlusively with my Game Changer .84 JAWS with either La Toja stick or Mühle Aloe soap. Today I decided to give the R89 a spin, and even though I prefer my more aggressive razors, I had a really good shave. No issues at all. Dorco Prime blades seem to be excellent, I've used a few of those now. I liked the ST-301 ones as well.

I've also spent quite a bit of time playing guitar, I'm a bit rusty, but practice will fix that. I've considered getting a new acoustic guitar, but I'm not sure yet.

    Have a great day, gents!

It was a very pleasant MMBT shave!

    Razor - Micromatic Bullet Tip
Blade - GEM Personna SS blade 2nd
    Pre-shave - Proraso White
    Soap - The Dead Sea
    Brush - rescued Perfecto badger
Post shave - Thayers Toner "Rose Petals" & Proraso balm
    AS - Proraso

This soap is easy to lather. I built lather in my bowl and then worked the brush on my face to build it even more. VERY nice soap! I do not know how to describe the scent but, I like it! Rainy day again so, I warmed the bowl before working the lather. Very pleasant 2-pass shave WTG & ATG with minor cleanup. Very efficient razor. I also did the dome to knock down head stubble. I got almost no feedback from the alum bar. No cuts, nicks, or errors.

Great shave set up Gary...SE razors are superb for head/dome shaving the rigidity of the razor & blade holds the blade firm with minimum blade chatter.

Guitar is always nice! I have 4 Martins, a Washburn, and 3 electrics. Two Telecasters (one I built) and a Les Paul Studio that I upgraded the pickups.
I just had my Fender out playing it plugged into a small 10 watt practice amp. Amazing how nice it can sound even in a tiny cheep amp!

Thanks, Barry! R89 is a great razor. That sounds like a fun focus, I hope you enjoy it a lot!
Those are some sweet Telecasters! I have a few Yamaha nylon string acoustics and a Fender Jaguar, the player series one. My amp is just a Roland Cube 20x that I've had for years, I've considered getting a better amp, but the Cube does the job for now I guess.

I used to play bass in a band, I sold my 350w Fender amp after I quit the band, but I still have a few basses and a 30w Warwick combo. These days I just play at home and enjoy it.

    Thanks Joe, enjoy your day!

The Fender is a cheep MX made one but, it is nice. The custom is built with Warmouth Quilted Maple body & neck and Fender parts as well as a few parts from Stewmac. Golden Age overwound pickups. It's like putting together a puzzle for me.

    Good Morning!

    Gem MMOC
    Daylogic for Men SE Blade
    MrEE Tuxedo Brush
Chiseled Face Cryogen SS and AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 40 hrs

    20220905_232650.jpg

I decided to use the MMOC and try the new generic blades from Rite-Aid Pharmacy.
I was pleasantly surprised with the smoothness and feel of the blade. Did a 2 pass shave without pickups, blood or irritation for a BBS shave. Now, they are over 40 cents per blade so they are expensive, but the convenience of immediately having them and not paying for shipping as well as not getting stuck with 100 blades is worth it to me.

As far as Cryogen, I am still feeling the tingle 40 minutes later. The freeze your face experience is just an eye opener in every sense. Lol!
The alum feedback was slight so it definitely was a comfortable shave.
Witch hazel and the matching aftershave was splashed on my face to end the shave. It's a dreary, Long Island day and the kids are back to school. Now, the gym won't be so crowded. Lol! Enjoy your day gents!

Mine is a Mexican one as well, but I'm quite happy with it. There are some things that I will eventually probably upgrade, but even now it's a lot of fun.
Seems like a fun project to put one of those together!

Modular Adjustable Razor System (MARS) with plate 6.
    Feather blade / snapped (fresh).
    Yaqi Bunny synthetic brush.
    Fine Accoutrements Snake Bite soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
    Cremo Bourbon and Oak EdT.

Awesome shave this morning but the MARS had its work cut out for it. The fresh Feather mowed down three days worth of growth like butter. Two very nice passes with just a few touch ups. The alum was quiet.

Overall it was an awesome shave.

I had to come back to work to rest this morning. It has been a busy weekend.

    Happy Tuesday Everyone!

with modern tuners, setup/intonation is easy to set. Warmouth makes NICE parts. The top is a 1/4 inch thick or thicker slab of maple. NOT a veneer

For today's shave, I kept with the AgadirMen prep(in shower). I figured it would be good with the Bill Neumann soap&A.S. later. The brush was fine, a little big for the soap as it stretched out to engulf it as I worked it around the soap. That led to more soap spilling over the side, something definitely to watch for with future use. At the beginning of the spreading across the face and neck, I quickly noticed I had a little more water than soap. Returned the brush to the soap for a few seconds to quell that situation. 2 Knicks developed DURING the shave, but the skin-food action of the Bill Neumann aftershave reduced them to nothing. 2 passes. The Knicks were the only issues of concern. Finished again with Mutamayez from the House of Swiss Arabia. Super Duper Excellent.
