I think for a Bill Neumann soap you have to go straight down the middle so as to stop any from spilling over. Probably easier said than done.

Nice shave this morning. Rocky Mtn. Barber Co. soap(Barbershop)came through for me in flying colors. It's one of three shave soaps I'll use with Clubman this fall&winter(actually it's a shaving CREAM soap), Everything I shaved today came off(well, except the Ingrown area) and the mid jawline(border of S. Porcupine and Central Cactus). 2 passes. No cuts,Knicks, polka-dots. I used this in place of my third g0-round with Bill Neumann. I never thought I'd say this, but the Bill Neumann soaps frustrate me. I think they all should come in 8 oz. cans, so the 4 oz,. soaps have some breathing room. I might make that suggestion in the review area. Great soap, but for the setup arrangement. Anyway, back to today-closed out with aforementioned Clubman-Pinaud A.S. That Rocky Mtn. soap/cream is better than I give it credit for. Just applying it is the problem (as with Bill Neumann). Puck is too small for 5 oz. Outta This World Excellent shave(after all, this is The Shave Den, not The Puck Den).

 

Especially 8 oz. of THAT pancake soap.

it loads pretty easily.i just load it with a damp brush and build the lather in a bowl or face lather.

Another fine Stirling shave this morning. I am a big fan of the Oud scent. I have several versions in my den. To my nose, this scent presented by Stirling is a little on the darker side whereas as compared with Holy Kaw’s King of Oud which is a bit sweeter to me. I enjoy both as each checks of all of the boxes for a great shave.
The scent profile is as follows: “A warm and aromatic blend of agarwood (oud), cedar, smoke, and exotic spices.” Stirling must have had a run on this soap as currently it is unavailable.

The PAA Atomic Rocket brush whipped up a nice thick lather following a 25 second load off the puck and subsequent bowl lathering.

The Thistle razor gave a phenomenally close shave that I would have to classify as BBS. Of course my usual three passes although I could have easily stopped at the second.

Overall I am smelling and looking good. I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.
