The green tub is the polar opposite scent wise to the red, but it's equally the same in performance and post shave feel..The big difference is the very mild but pleasant clean scent, which I personally like.

I think my shave was off last night in more ways than one so I would not write off the A plate as a possibility (especially if you can get it at a discount).
I am pretty sure in all the posts I have read that some people prefer the A plate with the Feather Pro blade over the standard plate with the same blade.
I will have to try the plates with a Pro blade and see what it can do.

I don't understand how the A plate on my neck was more efficient than the standard plate but the mustache area and chin were the opposite. To me that tells me that I was not using the best angles for different parts of my face (and being really tired did not help things, I am sure). I probably rode the cap at some point which could explain the variation in results.

I may try some sort of combination shave to compare at least the A with the OC but even better if I could work the standard plate in as well.
I have several blades from TryABlade so I could compare the Feather Pro and the Pro Super with these plates as well and see if that spices things up a bit.

As with everything YMMV rules.

Originally, I was going to use my Parker Shavette again, but decided to go with my vintage Friodur. I honed it in June 2020 and this is my 23rd shave since that time so I expected it to be sharp. It definitely was sharp to say the least.
The C-Mon Brush is my second favorite in my collection and does whip up a nice lather, but it can hold onto it and consequently, make facelathering tricky.
The Bergamot Lavender scent was more robust than in the past and it showed me that it has a nice fragrance. Am I in love with it? No, but I wouldn't kick it out of the bathroom. Lol!

Did a 2.5 error-free pass for a BBS shave. Did get some feedback on my neck from the alum, but it wasn't a darn it episode. Witch hazel was applied and I followed with the Veg. The Veg complemented the soap scent very well. Because I shaved late today, tomorrow will be a no shave day for me. Have a great evening gents!

 

Just do it, eh? Kinda easier said than done. Right now I have a picture on my phone...rest will be tricky.

 

It is just that, Joe(the Bill Neumann face lather). I just don't like to see it fall over the sides. As I say...all BN soaps should come in a 8 oz. puck(those of us who get the 4 will then have room to work with).
