    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Mandarin & Lemongrass Extract Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Omega 10066.
    Face Lather.
    Lather: Tabac Original Shaving Soap.
    Blade: Personna Gem PTFE. (D4)
    Razor: Supply V2.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. /Tabac Original ASL. /L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

    Greetings,

    (Face & Head Shave.)

A new eclectic shave set up to start the Weekend....Second outing of the Omega 10066 boar brush which is wonderful for face lathering...I personally find i get the best results from boar brushes when i face lather. Synthetic brushes are better for bowl lathering. Boar brushes also work better for me when using harder traditional shaving soaps.

A wonderful performance from the Supply V2.

Since my shaving den clean out I've now started to give some attention to shaving products that I've hardly used...It's been a while since i last used the Tabac duo and as always, the performance from the soap & a/s was astounding, a wonderful slick protective lather from the soap with a classic old school scent from this superb old school duo....I have yet to try the new version of the soap, which isn't tallow based.

From my first use of Tabac products i was instantly hooked by the wonderful slick protective lather it created & old school fragrance.

It's one of those soaps that i could quite happily use with every shave, but that would become tedious and making it a mundane routine for me which traditional wet shaving should never become...I know some people have 'love/hate opinions on Tabac products The scent isn't for everyone which i totally understand, but for me personally the fragrance comes second besides once i do my cold water rinse the scent of the lather has virtually gone anyway with the exception of Tabac and a few others.

A close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend, ladies & gentlemen.

First time trying Yan Yulay. Monica was kind enough to send me a whole box of goodies to do reviews for sample September and hand some out.

I love how she put the badass trident in the soap 0F7A29D9-DB04-4B15-921C-2B06170B2A42.jpeg

    Hi Friends,

Here my belated Wednesday Shave (07.09.2022)

    BE82791D-02A3-4E32-A38E-4945946861F8.jpeg
Razor: Mühle R89 Jet // Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium // Soap: Mammoth Mood Indigo // Brush: RazoRock Barber 24 // Aftershave: Geo.F.Trumper Eucris

Fantastic again. This scent of the Eucris…dark, fruity, mysterious…i love it!!! The razor in combination with the blade was super gentle and thoroughly. BBS in 3 joyful passes. Lather was whipped up very good with the RazoRock brush. Scentwise the soap matches nicely with the Eucris.

Have a great time, enjoy your shaves and stay safe and healthy.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

Saturday morning’s spearmint scented Grand Freeze:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 11
    MSC Frosted Spearmint SS
    Stirling Glacial Spearmint ASB
    MSC Frosted Spearmint AS Spray
    Brut Deodorant Spray
    Brut EdT

My brother Fernando makes some of the best soaps and aftershaves I ever used in my entire life - his Frosted Spearmint scent is so delightful - it fills the bathroom. The soap is tallow based like all his soaps, the lather is magnificent, there’s plenty of menthol in it, and the skincare is perfect. The Glacial Spearmint balm smells exactly the same as Fernando’s Frosted Spearmint, it’s so moisturizing, soothing as well as frigid, and the Frosted Spearmint aftershave is a real menthol atom bomb - the scent is so nice and strangely enough it seems to pair well with the Brut. (At least to me) What a brilliant three pass BBS shave this was!

Have a good weekend - be well and safe!

Razor - Hawk v3 with open comb base plate
Blade - Captain Titan Mild (3rd use)
    Pre-shave - Proraso Red
    Soap - Mudder Focker
Brush - Simpson T2 Trafalgar synthetic
Post - Thayers Toner & Geo F Trumper "Skin Food" Sandalwood
AS - Pinaud Clubman Whiskey Woods

Washed face while I warmed bowl and brush with HOT water. This soap is nice and slick and creamy. Easy to whip up. The Mild blade got me clean and close with zero irritation and no cuts. 2-pass shave WTG & ATG. No cleanup. I have gotten good with the Mild blade and when I bin this blade, I wil try with a Professional blade. Riding the cap is the only way to shave and not cut myself with this open comb. You can feel the blade. I see this as more aggressive than what everybody calls "The Beast" (Muhle R41). This is the Beast to me! Me like!

Zero feedback from the alum bar. No cuts, nicks, or errors. Very Nice!

I still recall how this setup cut me several times the first time I tried it. I have tamed the Beast! DSCN9863.JPG

It's sad that only very few baseball announcers do the runs/hits/errors thing at the end of a half-inning. I guess they're told to skip that to get right to the commercials/ We should now call the game "Businessball".

Razor : TARMAX adjustable by @twhite: any efficentcy & aggression range, I get some excellent shaves with this razor, it is a proto type of 4 made from Aluminum and just feels good in the hand. Very enjoyable close shave this morning. Won this in a raffle on this forum.
Blade : Gillette 7 oClock SP, Sharp & smooth + reasonable longevity.
Soap : Haslinger Schfamilch , nice very mild clean scented + excellent lather qualities. One of my favorites.
Brush : Yaqi Sagrada Familia 22 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of the best badger brushes I have.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).

    Today's shave: Citrus Saturday

Warm shower - face washed with Yardley Shea Buttermilk soap
Gillette Pre-War Tech with ball end handle
Gillette Platinum Plus (Brazil) blade - 1st shave
RazoRock Essential Oil of Lime soap
    RazoRock Snowman brush
Aqua Velva Ice Sport aftershave lotion

Shave Quality: BBS. Went WTG, XTG across my chin only, then ATG. No nicks, weepers, or irritation. This setup shaved very efficiently and, though I didn't rush, it was a very quick shave.

Shave Comfort: Excellent: 9.9 out of 10. No dragging or pulling, and I couldn't hardly feel the blade. I really should use this setup more often...

I have some Gabel's Lime Menthol aftershave on order for Citrus Saturdays. Until it arrives, the vaguely-orange AV Ice Sport will have to do.

Last night, I evaluated the Yardley soap for shaving. Both face-lathering and bowl-lathering created decadent-looking lather that went flat on my face in about 30 seconds. Boo, hiss!

I've looked through a lot of Avon catalogues over the years and don't ever recall seeing shaving soap. Yours looks like a bowl of Remoulade sauce...

I never saw any for sale. It has a familiar scent and it lathers well, after I scraped the top.
