    Good Morning

    Schick Injector E3 SE Razor
    Ted Pella Blade (3)
    JR #386 Silvertip Badger Brush
    Stirling Intrepid Man SS
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 39 hrs

In keeping with the SE September theme, I decided to bring out my Schick injector. It's a good razor and have had great shaves with Chick blades, but Pella blades were a disaster for me. So I decided to use the razor with the 3rd use of this blade and thinking that I would get a nice shave. Yeah, I know about the definition of insanity,
Anyway, I bloomed the soap to use the water as a preshave and to increase the scent. Stirling always performs well. The scent is mild and clean, but it doesn't stand out. It was a sample puck and would not buy it again because I favor stronger scents.
I did a two pass shave with plenty of buffing for a very near BBS shave without errors. However, the alum block gave me hard-core feedback on my neck because I did overshaved that area to get it smooth. It was the best shave that I got with a Pella blade, but they re still not as good as a Chick blade. Spashed on a liberal amount of witchhazel and did feel the burn from the aftershave. I am happy with this shave. I am off to the gym for my full body workout. Have a great day gents.

    SE # 279

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Ever-Ready 1912 SE
    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Brush: Jayaruh 329 Boar
    Lather: WTF Vintage Barbershop
    Aftershave: WTF Vintage Barbershop
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

It has been a while since I incorporated the WTF Vintage Barbershop into the rotation. The soap paired with the boar brush resulted in a thick luxurious lather with more that enough for 4 passes and a post shave load to condition the face. I did my usual three passes.

The ER 1912 razor delivered an extremely close shave comparable to my Micromatics. You can go wrong with a GEM/GEM type razor.

We have a beautifully comfortable day here on LI. I am sure Joe, @Trigger, is enjoying it, if he is not in the classroom. I would imagine the weather is similar for Hogie, @Hogie. Unfortunately, his bike is still on the mend. Such bad timing as the bike riding season is rapidly coming to an end. Here to you Hogie. :transport016:

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

Late post! I got bike all washed and tuned so, I went to the sister restaurant to my fav, Little Italy 2. Didn't have the sweet watress there but, good food none the less. 85 mile ride. Sun finally came out when I was almost back home.

    Hawk v3 shave with OC

Razor - Hawk v3 Open Comb
Blade - Titan Mild 5th shave & binned
    Pre-shave - Proraso White
Soap - Captian's Choice "Land Ho"
Brush - the Perfecto brush that I rescued and brought back to life. It has stopped shedding hairs.
Post - Thayers Toner "Rose Petal"
    AS - Captain's Choice "Italia"

Nice 2-pass shave WTG & ATG. I did manage to cut myself twice on my neck under my chin. I guess I got in a hurry wanting to head out on the bike. Alum stopped them and gave minimal feedback. The scent of the Land Ho is very nice. Thirsty soap! Still a very pleasant shave!

I washed bike this morning and then plugged it into my Super Tuner to set the fuel injection. Take for a 15 minute ride while the tuner records value. Plug back into computer and it makes needed adjustments. Bike was running very nice! A bit cooler today so, I wore full leathers (jacket and my chaps & gloves) They told me that the one I normally go to is closed for renovations for 2 weeks! This one is in Hancock, NY right off interstate 17. Nice having the bike back together

Wonderful shave Joe. It's always good to support our fellow Long Islander, Don Youngner, the owner of WTF. I was in the gym today doing my full body workout today and then relaxing at Heritage Park.

Thanks Joe. I had to use a slightly deeper angle, but I don't think that I will get 10 shaves out of the Pella blade. I have 18 more blades to go.

While I have yet to try both of Youngner's Barbershop soaps, it would appear to me that his Modern offering is more Vintage than the Vintage itself.
