Since I shaved my head this morning at the gym with my ShakeSharp and Cremo, I decided to shave my face and neck to complete the look with my Parker shavette.
The shave went well. 2.5 passes and the shave was excellent. Finished the shave in my usual postshave routine. I just love the Veg. Enjoy your afternoon.

Thanks Joe. No, because I shaved with my shavette at home.

Thank you Joe....less annoying for me to "prep" with liquid soap.

    Growth: Two day beard.

Prep: Warm shower: Stirling Sheep bar soap

Pre: Washed face with Stirling Glacial unscented pre-shave soap then reapplied before lathering.

    Brush: RV 25 mm STF

Lather : Razorock XXX Italian shaving soap

Blade: Personna GEM PTFE-coated Stainless Steel (D1)
[Assumed blade type since this was one of the original blades that came with the razor and this is the brand/model of blade that Blackland recommends].

    Razor: Blackland Sabre
    Base Plate: L1
    Handle: Blackland Sabre

Post: unscented Stirling witch hazel and PAA Mysterium Serum

This is the first time trying the Blackland Sabre. This is my first time trying a GEM-style blade in any razor. I did a two pass shave with touch ups.

With the L1 plate not having much blade feel (at least that I can remember) and the Blackland website saying it was 'nearly impossible to nick yourself ' with the L1 plate, I probably got carried away with touch ups and had three nicks around my chin area (where I did several touch up passes) and a few dots on the right side of my neck in one area. I did touch up under my nose as it was tricky to get directly under my nose. The shave was very pleasant. Next time, I need to be less vigorous with with my touch ups and/or maintain the correct angle as I go across my chin. I had razor burn around my chin and mustache areas (where I did touch ups). BBS.

Nice setup and shave David. Wetshaving should be an enjoyable experience. It is a time when men pamper themselves. You correctly assessed that speed was the culprit in your shave. Speed will come when you have your technique down pat. It's a process and you will get there.

Stirling SEptember -- Thursday Night Edition

Final shave this week with the Asylum injector as I am promiscuous with razors and soaps. I can't settle down with just one. Focusing on Stirling month has been rewarding as I have not used some of them yet. Tonight's Scots Pine Sheep is one that I panic purchased (fell for the scarcity marketing) Stirling's mutton base soaps late last year.
