I suck at buying gifts for others. Christmas is fast approaching, so I thought I'd see what y'all have bought for yourself or others that have really stood out.

These are some of my favs that I've bought myself this year.

PetSafe 5 Meal Pet Food Dispenser
    - great for feeding my kitty while I'm away.
OXO Good Grips Radial Pepper Grinder
    - So much easier on my poor hands and I can't live without fresh ground pepper.
    Lotil Original Cream
    - serious moisturizing goodness.
    Chia Seeds
    - This is the first brand I've ever bought, but it has really helped regulate my blood sugar. I use it in overnight oatmeal.
    Bulk Cadbury Caramel Eggs
-reminder; must buy more. One egg is perfect for handling my low blood sugars.
I did actually buy a box for a gift, too.

I do most of my shopping on Amazon, but I'd love to hear your top purchases no matter where you bought them.

My wife bought me an oscillating multi tool.

Here’s what they are for the uninitiated.

Super handy tool to have around the house. Lots of brand/duty level/price range choices to pick from.

Next best thing I’ve acquired in the past year is a boot scraper.

Used fasteners specific for concrete and screwed it down near the garage entrance. Should’ve got one years ago.

How long have you had it?

I got one from Lowe's and it hasn't held up well.

The oscillating tool is a must have. I buy mine from Harbor Freight.

Added to my wish list. :happy088:

The boot scraper I linked earlier that I picked up on Amazon has been in place since early spring and is holding up well.
I also picked up a cheaper one from Lowes
Natural Outdoor Interlocking Boot Scraper Mat in the Mats department at Lowes.com
in late spring and that one is showing signs that it might not last a year.

We have a detached garage so one is by the garage and the other is by the house.

What I was hoping to find (but didn't) was a frame that I could attach/remove common size scrub brushes to so I could just replace the brushes as they wear out.

Those suspenders are still one of my favorite purchases of all time.
    https://www.etsy.com/listing/239511275/edwardian-brass-notepad-shopping-list
The original reusable, rewritable notebook. Reproduction, of course.
    https://www.etsy.com/listing/486425727/edwardian-style-pencil-slide-replica
Matching replica pencil holder, sized for modern pencils. That last bit was rather challenging.

I've had both in my shopping list for years and I finally asked for them for Christmas.
Kent LPF2 Large Cushion Paddle Hair Brush, Vented Taming Fine Pins Hair Detangle Brush for Long Thick and Curly Hair, Scalp Massager and Growth Stimulator Wet or Dry Hair Detangling. Made in England https://a.co/d/4IC8flD
Bought this Kent brush for my wife. The handle is uniquely suited for left hand use, as well as right. It's by far the best handle on a brush I've handled. And it's vented too. She was very specific about that.

Other than those nifty toys, I've been pretty good this year. I think I've spent less than $200 this year on shaving stuff, and aside from a few Rolls Razors, I only bought a Berkeley Custom Shaver.

Edit: there was that Itsuo Doi knife too. Spent way too much on that, but it still slices through tomatoes like butter despite daily use. I strop it near daily, 6 months in, haven't had to touch a stone yet.

It's quite ruined my enjoyment of my other nice knives. :p
