Soap : Razorock American barber, mid range scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi black marble 24mm silvertip, Excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, nice gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock American barber AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).

I've long been curious about the 1919 cream in a tube. Does it yield a close shave, and how's the skincare?

    Today's Shave: Williams Wednesday

Warm shower - Face brush-washed with Yardley Shea Buttermilk soap
Gillette Super Speed (code X3 - 1952) razor
Derby Extra Stainless blade - 2nd shave
    Williams Mug soap - c. 2014
    RazoRock Snowman brush
    Aqua Velva Ice Balm

Methodology: Face-lathered. Full face WTG; chin and neck XTG; full face ATG; second ATG pass on my neck
Shave quality: Near BBS. Moved this blade from my Pre-War Tech and noted a lot of residue from yesterday's Men's Zone brushless cream stuck to the blade; my efforts to remove it probably dulled it. Had to re-lather my neck for a second ATG pass to take care of some lingering stubble.
    Nicks, cuts, weepers, irritation: None.
    Razor burn: None.
Shave comfort: Smooth and comfortable throughout. Nice!

The 'Velva Ice Balm is a bit of a cipher to me. Initially cooling and soothing, it eventually leaves my face feeling warm and razor-burned. I know some guys love this ASB and I have another bottle new-in-box. Trade?

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Mandarin & Lemongrass Extract Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Lider Turkish Boar.
    Face Lather.
    Lather: Arko Shave stick.
    Razor: Gillette Guard. (D4)

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. / Alum Rub. / Cold water rinse. / Gummy Traditional Turkish Lavender Cologne. / Arko Cool ASB.

    Greetings,

    Early Morning Shave,

An excellent Turkish themed shave to finish my shave week off wonderfully.

Something I've learned since becoming a traditional wet shaver is if I had used a shaving brush, shaving soap / cream method, instead of gel when I shaved with Cartridge razors for all those years my shaves would have been 100% better and more enjoyable as back then, shaving was something i hated having to do with a great passion.

I haven't used my alum block in my post shave for some time and was a good post shave application with hardly any zinging and stinging.

I've been taken by surprise how well the Gillette Guard has performed throughout the week.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick-ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Arko Fresh ASB.

My face is feeling smooth cool & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

The Old Spice Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #395 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AutoStrop A2 Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Thursday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 9
    Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS
    Prep ASB
    Floid Vigoroso AS Splash

OMG, I think my face is going to need all day to thaw out from this menthol assault - the Glacial Electric Sheep soap is a bona fide face freezer. It’s got exactly the same lovely scent as the regular version of Electric Sheep which is a blend of lemon, citronella, and eucalyptus, it’s mutton tallow based so the lather whips up superbly, the menthol sensation hits like a ton of frigid bricks, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave were such a delightful finish. Three glorious passes gave me a dynamite BBS shave which was so much fun!

Enjoy your day - be well and safe![IMG]
