First full Feather AC shave tonight. Mostly successful except for the one cut on the left jaw that has not stopped bleeding yet.

  5. Sorry about the cut, Eric. Nice gear but I need to know about that brush...it is nice.

  6. Yes, this is a nice one that looks almost new.
  7. Thanks Danny. I really had an enjoyable shave.
  8. Nice shave and setup Eric. Did you get a steeper angle or a little to much pressure on the razor?
  9. Too steep going across at an odd angle on the jawline.
  10. It is the Blackland Razors brush. Soft synthetic, and a smaller knot than I am used to, but a very nice brush. I could not resist the blue.

  11. Well, that's a tough way to learn. Hopefully, it wasn't too bad of a cut.

  13. Not too bad, just the worst one I had so far. I have the gentle touch going, but I took that stroke too fast and let the angle go too steep. It was satisfying to otherwise achieve a satisfactory shave without a safety razor backup!

  14. The handle is metal, so it is a touch heavier than average.

  15. Well that's good. I always tell new open blade wetshavers to take their time. Speed and efficiency will come in due season.

    Greetings,

    Early Morning Shave,

An excellent Turkish themed shave to finish my shave week off wonderfully.

Something I've learned since becoming a traditional wet shave is if I had used a shaving brush, shaving soap / cream method, instead of gel when I shaved with Cartridge razors for all those years my shaves would have been 100% better and more enjoyable as back then, shaving was something i hated having to do with a great passion.

I haven't used my alum block in my post shave for some time and was a good post shave application with hardly any zinging and stinging.

I've been taken by surprise how well the Gillette Guard has performed throughout the week.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick-ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Arko Fresh ASB.

My face is feeling smooth cool & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

  17. Super shave, pic and setup Barry. I use alum to test my skin to see if I used to much pressure during my shave. Also, it helps clear up any irritation. It is a great antiseptic and astringent. Have a wonderful afternoon.

Tatara Masamune razor with open comb plate.
    Feather blade (fresh).
Shore Shave Cool Water Ribbon synthetic brush.
    Tabac shave soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
    Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger.

I had to get the Masamune out this morning. This is one fine piece of shaving machinery. Three very nice passes. The Shore Shave tore up the Tabac to produce some very nice lather. As Paul @Paul Turner would say.....Super Duper Excellent shave.

    Happy Thursday everyone!
