Hey there! I saw your post about gentlemen hobbies, and it got me thinking about the wide world of musical instruments. Have you ever considered trying your hand at playing the concertina accordion? It's not only a unique and fascinating instrument, but it can be a great way to unwind and add a touch of elegance to your free time. I recently stumbled upon one at a local shop and it's been a delightful hobby to pick up.
I play a shofar, which in more traditional circles has been the domain of men. (Among the many reasons I am not so traditional.)
Hmmm. Gentlemanly? That's debatable, for my hobbies. I like to "Tinker" with things. I restore: 1.Old Gillette Razors. Not as much anymore. 2.Old Straight Razors, and hone them. 3.Old Firearms, from time to time. 4. Small engine equipment(Lawnmowers, Blowers, Trimmers, chainsaws, and generators). When found, needed, or asked to do so.
Classic film collecting -- on 8mm, Super 8, and 16mm. Silent and sound. I have FAD. With that goes projector collecting, of course. I have PAD. Jazz on vinyl collecting. (I have lots of CDs, too.) I have VAD. Magic -- particularly with cards.
Fountain pen use and wood pencil collecting and use. Today, at school I had a Palomino Blackwing pencil in my desk. One of my 8th grade students got really excited and pulled a Blackwing out of her pencil bag. I love nerds! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
