  1. late lunch or dinner.
I have my spaghetti sauce in the fridge so I could simply boil some noodles but, I am thawing a ribeye steak today. Will have with potatoes & a veggie
  2. I have a friend who sees lunch as his big meal....never eats breakfast, and will tolerate dinner if need be, but lunch is his major one,
  3. I am resting today. Too warm to work on wood and ankle is throbbing a bit...I have it wrapped again...

    Thanks for the thoughts! ;)

We old farts don't heal as fast anymore...waiting for my cigars to arrive so I can try one of the new ones!

  4. some days I alo make a breakfast too (2 eggs over easy, bacon, fried potato) I held off the last few days to keep my cholesterol down for the blood work! LOL
  5. Looks like an ice-cube brush handle.
  6. I wonder if Abe Lincoln shared your opinion about it being too warm to chop wood. Course the 16th POTUS was famous for doing that early in his life.
  7. This morning was a Parker 87R shave with sandalwood across the board

  8. At 66, I ani't as able as I was just 10 years ago!
  9. Thanks Hogie.....it is a looker.

    Hope you are doing great.
  10. At 40, I recalled saying to myself :"You ain't 39 anymore, BUDDEH!".
  11. Wow, Hogie, you gave me your like the second I finished that.
  12. I do still out-do many my age tho....so I can't complain too much! ;)

  16. Great news about your blood pressure. I guess you just have to eat a little more every day to get your weight up. Fortunately, that's an easy fix. Take care.

  18. It didn't help that paying the school tax bill ate up my grocery money this month. Tax bill was $1100. I do not make a lot of money and go pretty much month to month. I do save some tho.
I have about $1100 saved for the county tax bill coming due on Jan 1. That one may be as high as $2000.

I still managed to get my cigars (on credit card) so that will have to be paid off next payday

The moto "I love NY" is said with a lot of sarcasm and a roll of the eyes. LOL
If I were not so well set up here (home paid for and setup for being able to heat with wood without power), I would move to Texas!
I also have all my medical set up well here and would have to start over if I moved.

In other words, I am stuck here!

  19. The USPS has already delayed one order by a day and no updates now so, I have no idea when they will arrive. I have major issues with the USPS!!!!
They are adept at screwing up here....

Had a very nice, close comfortable shave today.
I bowl lathered the Cella and made enough for 4 passes which turned out that I needed it for this shave.

Originally did my usual 2 pass shave, but I just wasn't happy with because I had too much invisible stubble. Therefore, I refreshed he blade on my pasted strop (Crox) and then stopped on the linen and leather. Repeated the 2 passes and ended with a quality shave without errors.
Didn't have any alum feedback and finished my postshave with the witch hazel and that wonderful Old Spice aftershave. Take care guys.
