    ASRazor shave, OCtober 11th 2022

Razor : Ever-ready Streamline 2nd Generation- Mfg 1949-53, upper mid range, eye candy to me when I see this razor, took a while to master but it produces some nice stellar shaves. The blade stops are set forward more than other ASR razors(for more aggression) and I like to add a shim underneath the modern spline blade on this razor for a little less blade feel. I enjoyed the shave this morning with a few laughs from the fellows from the Micromatic Monday thread. [IMG]
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(6) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest razor blade to handle!
Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore[IMG], nice mild Vanilla with light tobacco scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Moka express 26 mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Excellent shave with my ER Streamline with a coated Gem blade.

    Aqua Velva Musk AS

Today's shave, featuring the MMOC, was a super nice shave. I am continuing to shave my neck, cheeks, and mustache areas while my biopsies heal. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #30 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem MMOC and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/new Wilkinson Sword
    RVT Yuka Lyptik SS
    Prep ASB
    Aqua Velva Sport AS Splash

My first time using my cherished 1950s Super Speed in almost two months and it’s definitely a slightly more aggressive razor than my Canadian Tech - this was the razor that my Dad, of dearly loved and blessed memory gave as a birthday gift when I turned 14 and he taught me how to shave with it. The Yuka Lyptik soap is vegan based, it has a very nice scent - exactly like the Halls eucalyptus lozenges, it lathers beautifully, there’s a good dose of menthol in it, and it’s very skin friendly. There’s nothing like a nice massage with the Prep afterwards because it moisturizes and soothes the skin so well, it’s also quite cooling, and the Aqua Velva Sport aftershave completed the job in fine style. Except for two tiny weepers which I was to blame for because I got a bit overconfident I would say this was a poifect three pass BBS shave that I really enjoyed!

Have a good day - be well and stay safe![IMG]

Aaaan, it's time once again for Throwback Thursday. Here's my plan:

    prep-Stoylin Sandpiper soap(in shower)
    shave-O.S.P. "Old Gold"*
    brush-Albion synthetic**
    razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE
    A.S.-Old Spice "Classique"***

*-Obsessive Soap Perfectionist-their dupe of Old Spice, which of course began in 1938.
    **-1925
***As we know, I call it "New Spice", but it does say "Classique" and "1938" on the bottle.

Razor : TARMAX DE adjustable proto type by @twhite - excellent all range razor, it is a smooth shaver with excellent results for myself and I use a modified Micromatic handle with it recently. I like to tinker a little with this proto type also. Won this interesting adjustable in a raffle on another forum. Very enjoyable shave this morning!
Blade : Wilkinson sword saloon(2) sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity. Made in India.
Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore[IMG], nice mild Vanilla with light Tabaco scent.
Brush : Yaqi Cola 22 mm Plissoft synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
    Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG(8) + ATG(8) + pickups(10 setting).
Post shave : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Excellent shave with my TARMAX adjustable by Tom White with a Wilkinson sword blade.

The LPL never fails to produce a quality lather.

I do wish the "Rover" held more lather. Many of my larger Simpson brushes can be accused of being "lather hogs", but not this one.
New Gem blade in the MMOC. Mos def © sharp, but not all that smooth today...:signs002:
Left me with a few neck-weepers to clean up.
Finished with my all-time favorite "tobacco" stank:

This is vintage juice and another example of a company discontinuing, for no apparent reason, a quality product.

I'm guessing your Bill Neumann is Signature 1907. The razor and case blocks off most of it, but the first letters give it away.
