Love these Fine 3x milled tallow pucks. I know they had to change suppliers as the Dutch factory they used closed, but this really was an outstanding product. I feel lucky that I picked up another puck (in Fresh Vetiver) lately.
    Have a great night all!

    Greetings,

    Early Morning Shave,

An enjoyable shave to finish off my shaving week.

The wonderfully efficient 89R /Gillette London Bridge duo was another great match mowing through my stubble with effortless ease.

In my next week's shaves i will use the Gillette Super Blue another DE blade i have infrequently used to see if the comparison between the Gillette London Bridge differs.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick-ups comfortable silky-smooth shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling smooth cool & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

I guess I equate "throwback" to "vintage".

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #30 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Red and Black OT by Tom and the Astra SP Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Thursday morning:

    Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Wilkinson Sword day 2
    De Vergulde Hand SS
    CutiBase Moisturizer
    De Vergulde Hand AS Spray

Would you guys believe that the De Vergulde Hand soap is over 450 years old? Not this this tub I’m using but the brand so the company must be doing something right. The scent is so old school and classy with an exotic note - man, do I ever love it. The soap is not tallow based but it gives tons of thick, rich, creamy lather as well as a comfortable postshave feeling. Definitely Holland’s best soap. The CutiBase moisturizer is unscented and so soothing, while the De Vergulde Hand aftershave smells as gorgeous as the soap - what a pity that it was discontinued. Two passes with my treasured Super Speed gave me a brilliant BBS shave that was lotsa fun!

Have a good day - be well and safe![IMG]

I certainly would agree with that "equation", but I had to use Throwback to match up with Thursday.

I got brave today and used the Hawkv3 open comb plate with a Feather Professional blade. I normally use a mild blade. It was not too bad!

Razor - Hawk v3 with Open Comb plate
    Blade - Feather Professional (4)
    Pre-shave - Proraso RED
    Soap - Leviathan
    Brush - Classic Shaving synthetic
Post-shave - Thayers Toner with witch hazel (unscented) & Leviathan Balm
    After-shave - Leviathan

I showered and warmed the Scupper mug and brush with HOT water while I was in. The Leviathan is a nice shave and the first thing I smell is the tobacco. I was brave and for my first time, I used a Professional blade in the Hawk open comb. I didn't do too bad. I did a 2-pass shave and got nice and close. WTG & ATG with no cleanup. I also did the top of my head but used my Gillette 1954 SS Flaretip. I ain't brave enuff to do with the Hawk open comb. I did get 3 nicks. Two on my neck and one on my chin. The alum bar took care of them. I did get minor feedback from the alum bar so, not as bad as I have before with this setup. It had been a while since I have used the Hawk so, I have slipped a bit with the technique using it. The balm is pleasant and so is the AS. I have to run to the bank and pick up 3 prescriptions so, I am ready for the world!

Theo didn't come into the bathroom but, stayed in the bedroom and jumped onto the bed and lay on his blankie. LOL

I hope all have a pleasant shave today!

Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72- Mfg 2021>, excellent mid range, one of the best designs of a DE razor head I have used, excellent machining QC and finish, easy to work under the nose area. A joy to use!
Blade : Gillette Wilkinson sword saloon(3) sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity. Made in India.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, nice scented soap with excellent lather qualities. One of my favorites + offers excellent lather protection and post shave.
Brush : Yaqi "lucky Dice" 26mm tuxedo knot- excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel beard area cleanse + Yaqi Musketeer rapier AS + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Excellent shave with my Razorock Lupo.72 with a Gillette Wilkinson sword blade.
