I had a leisurely stroll through the international grocery this evening. Not that it's strictly necesary here, but I even found a shaving related item this time. The last thing I needed was another cream. But it's always good to find things available locally.
Awesome! What type of international store was it? I may to visit some. I have primarily chinese but there are some Indian and middle eastern not too far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's from India, and I've found it before in Indian groceries. This particular store is pretty huge. Stuff from all over the world. https://saragaindy.com/[/QUOTE]

quick question.with the handle removed does the baseplate have a machined indent around the thread hole ,or is it completely flat?
i have seen some sets with that baseplate.mine is flat.it was mentioned on another forum that the indented ones were originally leftovers from the criterion sets with the permanently attached handles. another run of those sets were released in 1935 though without serial #'s. are there any signs it had a handle attached on the top of the baseplate?,scratches/marks etc..thinking of a criterion originally that developed a split handle.
that was my thought also. it looks like a leftover head without the handle attached. because the hole for the cap is larger than the threaded post.
A few brushes ..... The Simpson 59 with its 25mm knot is definitely a brush that will be restored in the near future.
