And that massive amount was from an almond sized dollop with my spoon! Nice scent too.

October 16 Shave of the night

    Good evening
    Shavette Shave # 402
    Parker SRB
    1/2 Rockwell DE Blade ( 2nd use )
    MrEE LE #10 Tuxedo Brush
Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and AS Stirling Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 29 hrs

    20221016_215958~2.jpg

    Head shave (items not pictured)
DE Assured Razor for Men by Dollar Tree
    Assured Razor Blade (5th use)
    Dome Growth: 3 days

It's a rare late night shave for me, but I decided to do one anyway, especially adding a dome shave as well. I picked out Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender because the title is apropos for a night shave, but more importantly, it's one of my favorite scents.
Here is my bowl lather and as you can see I had enough to do a face and a dome shave.

    20221016_220609~2.jpg

I did my face shave first and I only needed 2 passes to get a nice, smooth and comfortable shave. I didn't get any irritation or any signs of red liquid anywhere on my skin.
I did 3 passes on my dome to get cueball smooth without incidents. On my 3rd dome pass, I had to whip up more lather from the small unused sliver of soap in the bowl. I just rewet the tips to obtain more lather
Anyway, the proprietary blade was starting to tug, but I believe that I have one more shave with it, but we shall see. I put it through its paces with a tough 3 day dome stubble. Lol! There wasn't any alum feedback on the dome, but there was some slight response on my neck. Overall, I would say that's beyond respectable. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to complete my session. Good night.

Very pleased with my shave this morning. Classic set-up in the shower from Agadir(Oud Wood). I'm just not having any luck finding my Agadir aftershave, soit appears I'll have to order another one. The Razorock Tuscan Oud is doing a fine "relief" job, though. As for the shave itself- I loaded the Razorock Oud onto the brush with no problem. First pass was pretty good all around. I developed a couple Knicks and a polka-dot down at South Porcupine(chin), but all were painless. No issues during the second pass., except I should have done better near the ingrowns at Cactus(neck). That happens a lot though-must be more focused in that area. The aforementioned Tuscan Oud aftershave has a real tiny pourspout(is that a word? It is now). No need t0 worry about a Niagra Falls mistake. Most Excellent.

I re-discovered the first razor I bought when I started my wet shaving journey a year ago. It is a Weishi TTO that is a copy of the old Gillette Super Speeds. Not bad but, I put it back into it's box and stashed it again. I really don't like the long handles. But, it was the first that set me on my journey.

    Razor - Weishi TTO
Blade - BIC Chrome Platinum (1)
Shave soap - TOBS "Mr Taylor's Shaving Cream" measure a dollop with my small spoon
    Brush - Simpson "Commodore"
    Pre-shave cream - Proraso white
Post-shave - Thayers toner with witch hazel "Lavender" & Geo F Trumper Skin Food balm
After-shave - Pinaud Clubman "Whiskey Woods"

I took my shower before bed so, I warmed the face with a HOT washcloth while I pre-heated the scupper mug & brush with HOT water. It was a pleasant 2-pass shave WTG & ATG. I did manage to nick my cheek above where I would normally shave somehow. Also on my chin! Alum bar gave me a little feedback but not bad. This razor feels gentle but, that can be mis-leading. I think I used a little too much pressure and it gave me a little burn. Weepers stopped with alum bar. I am taking it easy today after all the work I did yesterday. I have breakfast and music at the senior center tomorrow. I have 2 new songs for the boys! "Precious Jewel" & "White Liar". I had to re-write white liar a bit because it is sung from a woman's perspective. Not hard and it still works. Also will work on that Doc Watson song, "Walk on Boy".

I have an order of cigars coming today so, I am watching for them now too!

Hope all have a great Fall day!

SE Shave # 285 - MICROMATIC DARFALL MONDAY

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip
    Blade: GEM Stainless (9)
Brush: Sawdust Creation Studio “Inferno” Silver Fox Synthetic
    Lather: Declaration Grooming Darkfall
    Aftershave: Declaration Grooming Darkfall
    Osage Rub
    Additional Care:
Declaration Grooming Aftershave Liniment - Darkfall
    Stirling Alum Block
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel

The Edmund Fitzgerald will come a calling for this soap tub next week. One final shave before it passes the torch for MMDF Monday to a new tub.

The MMOC performed it’s usual quality shave with efficiency that resulted in a BBS. Three passes although two would hav sufficed. Your have seen me post before, “I just love the process.”

Hanging around the house as I am having a new boiler installed just in the nick of time for the heating season. That being said, I usually heat my home with wood. Given that I have not purchased a cord or two of wood in seven years and the skyrocketing price of heating oil, the fireplace insert is a win win. The boiler is back up for times when I am not at home.

I hope you all are having a great day gentlemen.
