I’m really loving the De Vergulde Hand soap and aftershave lately - these two have always been top favourites of mine and for good reason. The scent is so classy and old school with an exotic note. The company which makes them has been around for over 450 years so they obviously know what they’re doing because the soap lathers like there’s no tomorrow and it leaves a comfortable postshave feeling. The CutiBase moisturizer is unscented so it doesn’t disrupt any fragrance that you wear and it’s so soothing. Finally the De Vergulde Hand aftershave has the same gorgeous scent as the soap and after the two second sting it feels great. The Oscar Pour Lui has a lovely scent - it was a gift a long time ago from my former secretary. Two passes were sufficient for a super duper BBS shave!

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #277 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Probak and the Astra SP Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Sensitive 5 in 1 AS Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Very cool looking razor. The baseplate seems to have very similar curves to a Barbasol Floating Head.

Loved everything about today's shave. Great soap base, great brush knot, great razor, great scent in the splash. I have a few different plates for the Karve, but this D plate seems to be my favourite combination of smoothness and efficiency.

Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72- Mfg 2021> excellent mid range, made of 316 stainless steel, very accurate machining and QC + great finish. Excellent design for clamping, working under the nose area. A very enjoyable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette 7oClock SP(2) sharp & smoooth + reasonable longevity. Made India.
Soap : Gillette Pure cream, nice mid range sweet clean scent with excellent lather qualities. Makes excellent ubber lather.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic Sky" 24mm synthetic- excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Amici AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette 7oClock SP.

Late shave today with no shave yesterday. I been busy as heck! so, I had more than 48 hours worth of growth! Cold day so, it was a good one for the Bay Rum

Razor - Parker 94R
Blade - Shark (1) binned after shave
Shave soap - Bay Rum puck in my wooden bowl (I forget the brand...I have two different brands and like both)
Pre-shave cream - Proraso Red
Brush - Perfecto brush that I brought back from the almost dead. It works nicely now.
Post-shave - Thayers unscented Toner with witch hazel & Geo F Trumper "Skin Food" Sandalwood
After shave - Pinaud Clubman "Virgin Islands Bay Rum"

I washed face and warmed face with HOT washcloth while warming my lather bowl and brush. The bay rum is a nice relaxing scent. 2-pass shave WTG & ATG with minor cleanup. I forgot how nice the 94R is for shaving! Very pleasant! No cuts, nicks, or weepers. Alum bar was silent. I really did think I would get some feedback after the cleanup passes but, none. The Parker is a hefty razor so, I let the weight do all the work for me. I really like the Geo F Trumper balm. A little goes a long way. My face loves it!

Early Morning Shave,

Finishing my shaving week off wonderfully with 1970's Aluminium Handle Gillette Tech.

Throughout the week the Chinese Gillette Super Blue blade performed wonderfully with each razor what i like the Gillette London Bridge that i used in my previous weeks they have a good variation of sharpness smoothness, and good longevity.
I look forward to adding them to my blade rotation in future shaves.

Another very comfortable 2 pass + pick-ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Boots Freshwood ASB.

My face is feeling smooth cool & smelling divine.

This Frosted Spearmint soap and aftershave are something else - if you’re into spearmint scented soaps and aftershaves I guarantee that you’ll LOVE this stuff - leave it to Fernando to create treasures like these. The soap’s tallow formula gives it such beautiful lather that’s so thick, rich, slick, and protective, there’s a very generous dose of menthol, and it’s so skin friendly like all of his soaps. The Prep is another South African diamond, the Frosted Spearmint aftershave has the same gorgeous scent as the soap, not to mention what a menthol atom bomb it is. Another brilliant three pass BBS shave which I enjoyed so much!
