Unfortunately, the car didn't come with the owner's manual. Fortunately, there is a gas station nearby that sells E85 so I will almost be using it exclusively. I have done some research and somehow the mixing of the fuel regardless of the concentrations doesn't matter. I do know that the computer resets itself to adjust for the octane levels. However, I trust your judgment.

it does matter..to the engine..;)improper mixing makes the the fuel mixture far too lean which can cause knocking and piston failure.the computer can only compensate to a certain degree based on the assumption the operator has followed manufactures recommendations.proper fuel/air ratio or stoichiometric ratio is 14-1.the computer compensates based on load, deceleration and delivers fuel/timing accordingly.if you'ver ever put gasoline in a diesel or vise versa you will understand what can happen.worse case is engine failure.cumputer may go into limp home mode to protect itself if it senses to little or incorrect fuel mix.meaning..a trip to the dealer and some$$ .short term you might not have too much of an issue as manufacturers have built in some fail safes.but..it will reduce the longevity of the engine and certain components.i am assuming to want to keep this car for a good long period of time.:)

thank you.i know you trust your mechanic and that is cool.,but remember he also depends on you to bring your car in for occasional service so it's in his interest to keep you happy and long term.i gain nothing monetary here and offer my advice as an insider friend.being ford dealer certified as well as volvo and others,i know a few things..;):eatdrink047:

    (Face & Head Shave.)

    Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend. Carrying on with the OC-tober focus with the FaTip Grande which paired together with the Bolzano SI superbly.
Both the FaTip Grande & Parker InjRzr performed wonderfully.

One thing i find with the Bolzano SI like a lot of DE blades it feels smoother & performs better on the second pass. However, this could have been down to me familiarizing myself with the blade again after another long hiatus of not using them. Their sharpness is near to the Feather Hi stainless with a smooth edge.

A very close comfortable face & head shave with errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Stay safe and enjoy the start of the weekend, ladies & gentlemen.

Wonderful shave Barry. I never tried Balzano blades but I have heard they are quite sharp. Have a fine afternoon.

Just found this thread after you mentioned it to me. I wanted to say congrats on your new car. I had a Grand Marquis before I got my Crown Vic in 99. We got it new and it currently still has less than 200,000 miles on it. Of course we also have a couple of other cats we rotate through so its not constantly getting driven all the time. I recently had to clean the MAf sensor and do the plugs and coil packs. I had a skip on cylinder 5 and 6. All is better now. Well enjoy you " new " car....

Thank you, Joe. The Bolzano blades are quite sharp and the longevity of them good. However, the ones i have a quite old so i can't speak for the up-to-date batches, I've read some not so good reports on them. As always, DE blades are a very subjective YMMV topic. Would i buy them again? No as I have enough DE blades to last me for two lifetimes. So, no more DE blade purchases. Enjoy the start of the weekend my friend. :happy088:

I am feeling under the weather...I think I have the flu. Nyquil & Dayquil is helping. I had to egt up with the sun shining so nicely. I have 3 day growth to knock down!
Here is my setup. Washing bed sheets right now and will shower and re-make the bed. I will be crawling back in soon!

My previous car was a Buick LeSabre and bought it with 108K miles. Had it just under 10 yrs and it had 210.5 K miles. This car is shy of 97K and I drove an avg of 10K per yr so I expect at least 10 yrs of use.
