    SRS # 781

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Drew Dick 7/8” Quarter Hollow Purple Heartwood
Brush: Shore Shave Cool Mint Water 24 mm Synthetic
    Lather: Stirling Agar
    Aftershave: Stirling Agar
    Additional Care:
    Swiss Arabian Mutamayez EdP
    Omega Alum
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Mich better shave today with this Drew Dick razor following another round through the lapping film progression. Is it totally back?
Just about as I may in the near future give it another finishing home.

OUDtober shave continues with the Stirling Agar soap and splash combination. Three pass gave a close shave with a minimal report from the alum. The shave finished of nicely with the S.A. Mutamayez EdP. Paul, @Paul Turner, would concur.

Hope you all have a great day.

Here is the scent profile of the soap: “King of Oud combines the freshness of Bergamot and scents of Rose and Pink Pepper sitting on a bed of Oud, Patchouli and Vetiver for a fragrance that is both fresh and richly aromatic.”

I do enjoy the Oud scent. As a result I have several soaps that feature some version/representation of Oud in it’s formulation. This soaps include:
    Stirling Agar
    WK King of Oud
    RR Stallion
PAA Sangre de Drago & Oud Spice
    Ginger’s Garden British Empire
    Los Jabones de Joserra Kilix
    Van Yulay Royal Oudh

Out of all the “Oud” soaps in my collection I find the King of Oud to be a bit “sweeter” not as dark. While I periodically detect the Oud throughout the first few hours post shave, the bergamot, rose and pink pepper appear to be a bit more pronounced.

Hope this answers your question Joe.

    Growth: Two day beard.
Prep: Warm shower: Stirling Sheep bar soap
Pre: Washed face with Stirling unscented pre-shave soap then reapplied before lathering.
Brush: Rudy Vey 25 mm STF
Lather : Razorock XXX Italian shaving soap
    Blade: Nacet (D2)
    Razor: Yates 921
    Base Plate: H
Handles: Razorock Barber Pole/Yates 4 inch
Post: unscented Stirling witch hazel and PAA Mysterium Serum

    Warm water shave.
First pass, used Razorock Barber Pole handle. I liked the grip and having the knob at the end for pulling the razor up the neck. Unfortunately I had 2 bad weepers on my neck line and one nick in the left corner of my mouth.

Second pass, I used the Yates 4-inch handle and really liked it (once I found a good place on the handle to balance the razor). The razor head lightly glides along your face when you find the right balance point. I found that on the neck, I did WTG again (instead of ATG). So I then did a third pass ATG. It was very smooth. I did try doing outside in for the mustache area on the second pass but I could feel that the blade was going to dig in if I tried it, so I stuck with WTG for the second pass on the mustache area (as well as the rest of the face).

I had razor burn in the weeper areas of my neck and the mustache area (from the first pass). I will repeat this shave with the Yates handle for the whole shave and see how it works. The H plate with the Nacet blade cleared the mustache area on the first pass.
    BBS.
