Oh..well, it's just that when I'm in a barbershop I don't focus on what it smells like in there.

 

Oh OK....I think Joseph sent me an A&E, I'll have to check to see. It wasn't Signature, I know that much. But it smells real good.

 

Man, how did I get that "tp//" in there. That isn't in Webster's.

 

Thanks for the comments. I think I used too much water initially and the wet lather was dripping from the brush as I brushed my face. Then I tried to shake some water out of the brush and re-lather all before my first pass and maybe then it just wasn't right. This was my 2nd shave with this razor after honing so I think the edge is ok. No real tugging, just not gliding as usual. The blade sounded good as it cut, I could hear hairs popping, just didn't feel good (if you know what I mean).

Another great OUDtober shave this morning. I have not used the RR Stallion in a few years. I just recently picked up the the soap and splash from Italian Barber on sale. Great soap and splash for the price point. It is a cologne type Oud scent which to me means it is not as dark as some of the other Oud fragrances I have in my den.

I did my usual three pass shave with the newly acquired Union City Banty (second shave with the razor). It delivered a super close and comfortable shave.

I am ready for a day of chores around the house and an afternoon workout.

Today's shave was, all in all, about the same as yesterdays. The one difference today was the

Brush-Crown King(Spindle Duro Tali)

As it began, I knew right away I had too much water on the brush-didn't shake it off well enough. I went through the motions of the first pass, knowing the second would be better, as I would re-load the brush with more soap. The soap during the first pass looked like Williams, not "William" Neumann. I seem to be losing some confidence up at North Porcupine, which is one area you NEED confidence, unless you want to grow a mustache (which I don't). I'll get it back. South Porcupine was fine. Ditto cheeks&sideburns. Better down at Cactus, but not 100%. I did better administering the aftershave today-a neater job. Fine close with the Mutamayez(House of Swiss Arabian) Super Duper Excellent(but should have been better).

 

Today's a no shave day and a rare no gym day. I didn't get a good night's sleep because I was continuously tossing and turning. I had a low grade fever of 100.3 so I popped an acetaminophen tab before I went to bed. I feel out of sorts but that's due to lack of a good night's sleep. I am staying home for most of the day. If I feel up to it this evening, then I may go out to one of the local churches that is showing Season one, The Chosen. By the way, I don't have Covid-19.
