3D printed razors

is the stl for this available yet anywhere?

Lol... Yes, I know, I know. A familiar handle, isn't it? I saved the files under the "AC Matic" name.

 

Just found out the other day that the Blackland 3D SS printed Era razor will be discontinued and they are having a discount sale on remaining inventory. They have a message on their site why it is being discontinued if curious.

 

The first test shave with my 3d printed AC razor did not disappoint.

 

3d printed razors are a fun addition to the hobby. Some members here and elsewhere including myself have used them with great results. I do agree, they're not as precise as a metal machined razor, but many shave very well.

 

Actually, safety razors are "just" blade holders.
AC blades are great.
This design, too.
A little Gem Bullet Proof, a little Blackland (Vector).
But original in some way.
Lovely.

Testing v2 of the 3D-printed DE razor. It's a three-piece DE design with ease of printing in mind. The design still benefits from a well-calibrated printer. I'll test it a bit more before making the files available for download.

 

Very cool. I have my son's 3D printer and I would love to try this.

This is a 3d printed, 3-piece DE Safety Razor. It is fairly easy to print but does benefit greatly from a well-calibrated printer in order to achieve the proper tolerances.

Thank you for your kind comment, Ron. Soon, desktop metal 3d printers will be available to the masses, and that will be a game changer for our hobby.

 

Really, that is amazing how fast they can make it metal 3D printers for a desktop and it would have to be affordable to be successful.
