Clubman Special Reserve

Why do all the photos of this stuff show this:



All the stuff I have had has been green in color. Admittedly, mine are older, did they change the color recently?

 

I think there was earlier discussion on this. In all the years I purchased the Speial Reserve, I got the same color you see here. No green.

 

Indeed this has been brought up before. I have had a bottle that either was green, or turned green over the years. When it ran out, I decanted a new bottle into a brown glass bottle. The juice is still brown today.

 

That's weird. Here is a decant to glass, and another bottle I have. Probably bought around a decade ago:

 

The last one I bought, probably 6 or 7 years ago was brown and in a plastic bottle. Used it up a couple years ago and haven't got around to getting a new one yet but I need to do that.

 

Green?

That looks kinda weird…my two bottles have been in that „red“ color. Strange to see this stuff in green…

 

Looking for a bottle of the GREEN.
Anybody got one for Primo?

@Primotenore - I do have a full bottle but it is brown. However, I did notice that depending on the lighting it can appear a little greenish (very dark of course).

Had an unopened bottle of the green and---stupidly, Piffed it away.

 

And now an apology is in order to someone...Primo maybe? My Special Reserve has suddenly turned green. I was suspicious this morning when green came out of it during the aftershave application-now it LOOKS green. Clubman's new ownership has a decision to make.

I guess I will, as it's the same product, but I can't believe I didn't notice the change earlier.

 

I bought and decanted mine 2 years ago. It is now green. I hadn't remembered that it was supposed to be brown.
For the first time, I mixed it 50/50 with witch hazel and a few drops of glycerin. It still smelled just as strong.

I do like it though.

 

Not sure if this is related... I used some yellow Clubman once, and my Bride turned green.

 

Was that the straw that broke the camel's back on her Clubman sentiments??

A decade ago, eh? Let's see what color my next Special Reserve will be upon arrival. Normal, then eventually becoming green? Green at the beginning?

 

What worries me is that when things turn green it is usually NOT a good sign.

 

Well, I've tried mine since the change-still smells the same. Weird, but I'll take it.
