    Greetings,

    Early Morning Shave,

A wonderful performance from the Chinese Gillette super speed clone & Treet Dura Sharp to finish my shaving week off wonderfully.

After my comfortable shave with the Weishi/Yintal 9306-I today in my next week's SOTD's I will do a Chinese clone DE razor focus week.

I find the Treet Dura Sharp smoothness & longevity near the same as the Treet 7 Days Platinum my overall reacquaintance with both blades has been wonderful.

A comfortable enjoyable 2 pass + pick-ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Creightons Sensitive PSB.

My face is feeling smooth cool & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

    Thursday's Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    Old Spice Shave Cream
    Jayaruh #292 Badger
    TNNSER Classic by Tom
    Personna GEM SS PTFE
    CWR
    Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve Cologne

The Old Spice Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #292 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TNNSER Classic by Tom and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Thursday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Junjie/Astra Green day 9
    MSC Peppermint Lime SS
    Prep ASB
    MSC Peppermint Lime AS Splash

This cheap little Junjie razor is really efficient and I’m very pleased with it. I paid something like two and a half bucks for it a few years ago at a dollar store here in town and it really surprised me because although I have a really tough beard and this razor is on the mild side it performs very, very nicely. Fernando created two fantastic treasures - the Peppermint Lime soap and aftershave have a beautiful scent which is exactly what it implies - to me the lime is more dominant but I still catch some peppermint. The soap’s tallow formula promotes such magnificent lather that has so much slickness, it’s got an intense menthol sensation that rivals the Stirling Glacials, and the skincare is A1. The Prep needs no explanation whatsoever because it’s so wonderful as a balm, and the Peppermint Lime aftershave has the same gorgeous scent as the soap, it’s witch hazel based so there’s never any stinging or burning, and the monstrous menthol effect kicks you right in the teeth. One tiny little weeper on my moustache area that healed as soon as I applied the styptic pencil, otherwise a perfect three pass BBS shave that was so enjoyable!

Have a great day - be well and safe![IMG]

Thank you Gary. Even though the bottom plate is the same as old type open comb razors, its thicker cap made it a much smoother shave.

Thank you, it's a nice shaver. I'm just trying to figure out about when it was made. I'm guessing late '40's to mid '50's because I haven't seen any Merkur handles like that from the late '50's and on.

Razor : Yaqi Mercury chrome- Mfg 2022> upper mild to tame mid range, small window for shave angle, well built and solid for a Zamak head + affordable. I had a great shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette silver blue (2) sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier for myself.
Soap : Tabac- nice flowery scent with excellent lather qualities. Great soap for softening the beard IMO.
Brush : Yaqi "Tail coat" 24mm synthetic G4?- excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 blemish weepers=[IMG] excellent shave with my Yaqi Mercury chrome with a GSB.
