    DE Shave # 433 - 1508.5 Project- Prarie Song
    DEcember Shave

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Gillette Flare Tip SS (1959 E-1)
    Blade: Shark Platinum
    Brush: Opus Shaving Brushes “Underdog”
Lather: Lakewood Soap Company Prairie Song
    Aftershave: Floid Genuine Vigoroso
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel
Another wonderful 1508.5 Project shave this morning. I have to take my mother shopping this morning as the plans for yesterday change. As a result, I did today’s paint chores yesterday. The kitchen walls and ceiling are now complete. Now comes the part I hate the most, the trim around the window and the molding along the base of the wall. :angry019:

Three pass shave with the Gillette Flare Tip SS delivered a BBS shave. I had to say I am enjoying the additional usage of my DE’s this month. They all provide an efficient shave. The post shave alum report was nonexistent.

Regarding the soap, I estimate that the tub will meet up with the Edmund Fitzgerald towards the latter part of January. I currently have about 46 grams left of the soap.

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

TRC (The Razor Company) aluminum safety razor.
    Feather blade (3).
Shore Shave Cool Water Ribbon synthetic brush.
    Tabac shave soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
American Tobacco by Andy Hilfiger cologne.

Terrific Tabac Thursday shave. Three very nice passes with no alum feedback. The TRC razor is an excellent performer and the brush was just icing on the cake this morning.

    Take care everyone!

  6. How many soaps, creams and goos do you have in your den, Paul?

I've got 8, with several in multiples:
    Arko
    Martin de Candre Unscented
    Mike's Natural Soaps Hungarian Lavender
    Proraso (soap and cream)
    Stirling Arkadia
    Stirling Executive Man
    Tabac Original

I figure I have enough to last me for the next 112 years. :)
  7. Wow...what a great Throwback Thursday shave, starring Bill Neumann(for newbies, the shave company title is Wm. Neumann&Co). Going in, I was concerned about using so much soap that some would spill over the sides. Bill really packs his soap to be equal to the VERY top. You just have to go nice&easy as you load the brush. I didn't get much on my skin for the first of my 2 passes, with my concern in mind. But no problems. I did a second loading for the second pass, as I felt my face&neck needed more soap. One minor problem for the second-I left a little AstroTurf on that "area of doom"(jawline, below right ear). I'll get it tomorrow. As you guys have seen me say in the past, this is a great product for "skin food". I felt more at ease about my soap concern than before. Nothing spilled, although I had to be careful. My next Neumann concern is I'll have much more soap remaining when the aftershave runs out...could end up plunking down another $30 for more A.S. $30 is a bit high for an aftershave, but when the shave is done right, it is worth it, I feel. Outta This World Excellent.

3 outstanding goos(Barbasol, Edge, and Gillette)...........2 "creams"(Rocky Mtn. and that Clubman brushless jar) and....let's see......14 pucks. At this rste, even if I never buy another puck, I'm sure one of em will be for the last shave of my life.

  10. I have an Arko STICK. Ahhh, maybe I'll play around with it once or twice. It's been around for a few years, like all those blades you sent me.
  11. I'm embarassed that I didn't erase the "14" at the top of my post, lol.

    have a fine day everyone,

  18. All kidding aside, Arko is a great soap, Paul. Give 'er a try...just maybe not on shopping day at The Pig. You don't want to create a riot in Aisle 12. ;)
  19. There's no "14" in your quote, Paul. Check again. I think the Clubman is getting to you. :D
  20. Well, I thought I had deleted it, but still saw it afterwards. As for Clubman getting to me, that's for a babe to decide. :)
