That was good advice your mother gave you, Paul. I just showered and shaved and do, indeed feel much better. Thank you for the well-wishes.

    That is a good question.

    The Good:
    Gorgeous Design and Craftsmanship
    Takes Feather AC Blades
    Decent Re-Sale Value

    The Bad:
Ergonomically difficult, outside of a WTG/Top to Bottom stroke
    Extremely Slippery (Alum Required)
Some blade chatter or, what I call "skipping". They ALWAYS leave marks.

Fresh Gem on some...dare I admit saying...damn fine lather, really performed well.
One red mark on the ATG neck-pass, but forgettable.
Had to pair the Simpson M7 with my YSL M7
One of the sweetest stanks I own.

@Primotenore's done went and started an Arko movement, dare I say transformation, with this thread.

I heretofore take umbrage with and eschew all other soaps and creams now that I've found the one.

I have too much variety with my shaves to be a part of it.

Much appreciated Joseph. :). This was long before I knew about TSD, but I still valued my shaving adventures.

I have a "Yul Brynner" look on the left side of my head, about halfway down, just under the part. How did I get it. Sometimes when I am in couch-potato mode, I end up with a clump of hair in that exact location, so I did what my barbarettes call a "Homemade Haircut"...angrily trying to get rid of the clump, but it resulted in a baldspot where the clump was. I'll go for a REAL haircut next week, and hope my barberette can fix the homemade thing. It's getting a little long in all areas save for where the clump was.

    Day 21
Shaved at home this morning before flying for a meeting. Did I take the Castle Forbes on the road to keep the 3017 going? Yup.

    Day 20

    Arko~~Simpson PL8~~Feather DX/Feather Professional~~Sailor Jerry~~Oud al Layl
I can't believe I am saying this, but look at this gorgeous lather:
    IMG_4782.jpeg
If this soap was without scent, it would be my #1 Unscented Lather...
but alas and alack, Arko still smells like the soap from the hand crank dispenser in a 1965 public restroom.
That means...when this stuff is gone, it's gone for good.
Fresh Feather Professional inserted in the DX provided an exceptionally smooth shave, replete with a few random weepers.
The Jerry Juice is almost spent. That's another "no-repurchase" product. Nice, but unnecessary.
Stank du jour is the bombastic Oud al Layl.
    Have a great weekend.
