I an getting ready for a Christmas Dinner party so I needed to shave, otherwise it throws off my schedule and I would be shaving late in the evening. Since my growth was minimal, I didn't need to load my normal amount of soap, but did have enough for my 2 passes, although the second lather was on the thin side, but it was still slick.
It is been over 2 weeks since I did an open blade shave and I didn't miss a beat. Achieved a nice, close and comfortable shave without any problems. The alum feedback was non-existent. Splashed on the matching aftershave and I was happy with this session. Take care.

What a mail day! I received a Gillette "Old" and a box full of boar brushes from a boar brush pass-around.

This was my first experience with a non-Omega boar brush. Knot is very dense, and the handle feels great in the hand.

The Gillette old type gives a nice efficient shave. I had trouble keeping the angle when shaving the head, but had no trouble on the face. No nicks, cuts, or weepers and a BBS on the face and dome. A special Saturday edition!

I showered while I pre-heated the bowl/brush with HOT water. Nice shave with zero feedback from the alum bar. I even dug out my clippers and trimmed my hair (what little I have left) For me, going to a barber for a haircut is a ripoff! LOL

That new lather bowl is very nice and builds really nice lather. Lots of bumps on the inside and it is easy to palm it for a good grip.

The Damaskeen always gives me a very nice shave. Even with 3 days growth like today.

Yes, I got 10-12 inches of snow so, I got to play with my snow blower on the front of my Kubota. It still took 2 hours because I had to go slow due to wet heavy snow!
