Well my curiosity about the pre-war has been satisfied, and I now have a couple more Techs to use for gifting to win over new converts :). A Tech with a shim is near perfection for me.

The real gem in that recently purchased lot was the Old. It was not something I was actually seeking, but I am sure glad to have that one.

very cool.i have a soft spot for early techs and use them mostly for daily work shaves or touch up evening passes, but they aren't my most efficient gillettes.believe it or not,the mid 60s brit thin head flare tip is one of my most efficient favorites, though bland in looks..;).i haven't used my old type much ,great shave but it bites me if i'm complacent with it.my british new series Open combs are far more forgiving without giving up efficiency..and prettier..:D:eatdrink047:

Fine shave overall today, with Razorock(Gold)soap and Stoylin UNscented aftershave(brush was Stoylin li'l brudder. ). I had a speedbump at Porcupine Alley, but didn't hit it hard enough to create damage. Boy, did I escape THAT. Dealt with the usual toughness around the Ingrown Swamp and surrounding areas down at Cactus Nation. I remember a fellow student at my prep school whose whole NECK was an ingrown swamp. I don't want THAT. Cactus should be shaved where it can be. Following the Stoylin sftershave was the Passion 4 Men cologne.. Very pleasant scent. Most Excellent..

@JACarbone Well Joe I caved. Lol! I did place an order of Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and the AS. I just couldn't let it go by knowing that it will be unobtainable. However, Pasteur's has it in stock, but for how long---who knows. I just didn't want to take a chance. They have Angora Soaps Bay Rum, but they didn't have the aftershave in stocks. Angora Soaps website doesn't have the Bay Rum soap or aftershave. Oh well.

    Good afternoon

    Straight Razor Shave #416
    13/8 Art Razor 1000 (Artie) (27)
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
    Stirling Bergamot and Lavender SS
    Pinaud-Clubman Lilac Vegetal AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 25 hrs

Today is my 50th consecutive daily shave! I decided to celebrate with Artie giving me a shave. It's been awhile since I have used this razor so what a great reason to bring it out today.
My 2 pass shave went well. There wasn't any errors. Got a very nice shave and the very little alum feedback bore that out. Splashed on the Veg and I am a happy campy. Tomorrrow, will be my 4th Anniversary on this forum so I have to bring out the other big guy (Max) to do the honors. Take care.

No, I didn't because I really have enough soap to last me beyond my 70th birthday. Lol! Also, I am being careful with my funds since I just spent thousands on getting a car. Even though we all like to spend on this hobby, sometimes there's a season where we must hold off on things. I am sure you and everyone else understands.

Thanks Gary. It's been decades since I have done 50 consecutive days of shaving. However, I will be going back to my usual shave schedule beginning Jan 1, 2023.

I normally would have bought a couple, but like I said, I needed to be prudent in my finances. I still will be replacing aftershaves, but that's about it. In 2023, I plan on visiting Pasteur's so you know I am not going to come out empty. Lol!
