    Nice kit and pic. Enjoy.

This is one of the vintage blades that unfortunately I never tried in DE. I had a couple injector blades but it was long enough ago that I don't remember how they shaved.

For anyone new to this thread, Personna 74's were introduced in the 70's as a competitor to Gillette's stainless blades. Unlike any other blades before or since, they were made of tungsten steel and had titanium coated edges. The name "74," is a reference to Tungsten's atomic number, 74.

They were made for only a couple of years because they had succeeded too well, and made a blade that lasted too long to profit from.

very cool.:).imagine a "used blade return" policy in which the company could reuse the raw material to make new blades.far fetched i'm sure..;)

I've used them in the past, when they weren't so expensive. Got upwards of 30 shaves with them. Wish they were still around but, as mentioned, not profitable.

Once, years ago, you said I was wrong to believe blade companies on purpose made blades that didn't last long, for that very reason, when they could have been made to last longer. Glad to see you came around!

I did? Sounds plausible. I've changed my mind several times this year already about things I thought I knew about shaving.
