    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face
Pears Transparent Bar Soap with Mint Extracts.
    Brush:
    Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
    Lather: Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Cream.
    Blade: Treet Black Carbon. (D2)
    Razor: Snmirn Adjustable. (settings) 5-wtg,5-atg,6-pick-ups.

    Post:
Cold water Face Wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ P&G Hawkridge ASL. /Baylis & Harding Amber & Sandalwood ASB.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

Another wonderful match with the Treet Black Carbon paired together with the Snmirn adjustable feeling comfortably smooth and efficient.

The Treet Black Carbon are a wonderful blade. I have mentioned before the only low point that i have with them is the rust issue after 2-3 shaves. That said, this isn't a big issue as the two shave's I've had with it have been smooth sharp, and very comfortable.

I suppose i could wipe them with alcohol after each use, but the vast amount DE blades i have to use up and the in-expensive cost of them is a luxury that I can afford to waste, and bin them after two shaves.

A close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a small dollops of Baylis & Harding Amber & Sandalwood ASB.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

Real good shave this morning-first use of the Razorock Plissoft synthetic brush that came in last week. I do like it...size and softness. Nice combination. 0:30 at the loading dock to attract the Razorock soap(Tuscan Oud). I did great everywhere except area around Ingrown Swamp. One polka-dot at the jawline. No cuts, Knicks. Matching aftershave(Razorock Tuscan Oud) and Swiss Arabian's Mutamayez cologne to finish(I used this every day in Oudtober). Outta This World Excellent.

Jan 2023 30-Day.jpg Five shaves with this setup for January.

    Razor: Muhle R41
    Blade: Astra SP
Brush: TOST 2018 Synthetic (The Original Safety Too)
    Soap: Stirling Electric Sheep

I like efficient (aggressive) razors. I really have problems with mild razors and strangely tend to nick myself with them because I find myself trying too hard. So the R41 is right up my alley. I've used it many times, but never for a full month. Due the number of razors I have I normally would use it for 1 blade and change everything. So, this will be a true 30-day focus. 1 razor, 1 blade, 1 soap, 1 brush.

I've used many Stirling soaps, but thought I'd try the Electric Sheep. ES is one THIRSTY soap. With the normal amount of water I'd use, this soap results and a thick, gooey mess. So, I have to remember to almost leave the TOST brush soaked. With the additional water, it still makes a thick, yogurty lather that is quite slick. I don't get the light bubbles that result from too much water. Anyone else experience this thirstiness in a Stirling soap?

I enjoy the R41 and just love when you can feel it chopping down stubble. I've found that I really have to focus (therefore the 30-Day program...duh) on getting a really shallow angle with this razor. Sure a steep angle will work, but there's something about that minimal, yet effective feel of the shallow blade angle. I don't find the R41 particularly aggressive, if I use it correctly. The only time I have had an issue this week is the last shave because of the degradation of the blade (tomorrow is a new blade).

I have always tended to short, brisk strokes and wondered if that was counterproductive. I've still got to work on this because I find myself returning the the short strokes frequently. So, this week I had five fairly uneventful BBS shaves. I've used 2 passes, both XTG, with final touch-ups as needed to "chase the baby". I have a couple spots that seem always to require additional passes. One thing I'm trying to work on in longer strokes.

    Happy shaving my friends!

Thank you Gary. Y'know I was recently thinking I should have used my Oud Wood shave prep(Agadir)since my shave was of the Oud Wood persuasion of things. I'll bring it out for tomorrow, then back to Stoylin until it's done.

    good afternoon gents.
quick comfy one pass to brighten the day.
yes ,the stubble was back after 12 hours..
i am doing a mixed focus for the most part,3017 a mwf puck on work shaves,
    random soaps for others.
    i am also test driving 2 blades-personna 74 with 7 so far,
and an ealy 70's spoiler with 3 ish in the super 84.
i switch the personna blade into a different razor every three shaves.
a bit of a jumble but keeps the boredom level at minimum.;)
    Jumble January:D
have a fine rest of the day everyone

Excellent shave and post Herm. Personally, I prefer shorter strokes because I feel that I have more control over the razor whether it be a DE, SE, straight or shavette. I feel longer strokes will give a higher incidence of bloodshed. Again,, it is a ymmv thing. As far as getting bubbles, it usually is the result of too much water or the lather was not whipped enough.
