Menthol Monday's Cold Water Shave Cold Water Rinse Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap Jayaruh #199 Enders Speed Shaver Schick Proline B-20 Injector Blade CWR Osage Rub The Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #199 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Enders Speed Shaver and the Schick Proline B-20 Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... This week, M-F, I am using my Green Enders Speed Shaver with my special blade carrier I made. It is an Enders blade that I removed the edge from. I used JB Weld to make spots where the injector blade would go. Lastly, I have super glued two magnets on the back to hold the blade.
Menthol Monday: What a Grand Freeze! Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Goodfella 3 Piece/Astra Green day 3 MSC Frosted Lavender SS Prep ASB MSC Frosted Lavender AS Splash Aramis EdT Wowzer, is this Frosted Lavender soap ever bloody FRIGID and so is the matching aftershave. The scent is so gorgeous also - it’s classy, old school lavender. The soap is a tallow based treasure with terrific lather that’s so thick, rich, slick, and protective, the menthol sensation it gives is not for the faint of heart - in fact it’s easily a match for any of the Stirling Glacial soaps, and it leaves such a wonderful postshave feeling. The Prep is another South African beauty, and the Frosted Lavender aftershave is witch hazel based so it never stings or burns, it has the same delightful scent as the soap not to mention how it freezes the daylights out of you. Madame told me that she loves the Aramis on me so that’s a big bonus. Three passes left me smoother than silk - another purrrrrfect shave! Have a good week - be well and stay safe! 9 January, 2023 Prep: Hot towel Razor: Weber ARC Blade: Permasharp Brush: Simpsons Duke 3 Best Soap: Los Jabones de Joserra: Sweet & Dandy Post: CeraVe moisturising lotion.. as you can probably tell by now, I have a real liking for Los Jabones de Joserra.. what can I say? They have that certain 'je ne sais quoi' that brings immense joy to my shaving experience.
Shave of the Week Starting 9 January 2023 Parker 78r razor Personna blade PAA Synthetic brush Nivea Shave Stick Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Assorted A/S Continuing on with my shave stick journey, I chose Nivea for this week. It lathers easily and gives a fine protective lather. The scent is, for me, pleasantly neutral which is fine with my covid wrecked smeller. I really like the Parker 78r and it pair just fine with the vintage Personna blade. Wish I knew which current Personna is the equivalent. At any rate, my face is happy so go enjoy your day folks.
I bought a "New Spice" aftershave at a drugstore to match the Old Gold soap. I have the "Classique" New Spice, closest there is to good ol' Shulton. Why do I use the name New Spice. Because the New Spice products are just dupes of the Old.
Now there's some interesting DIY work done! Excellent! How do you know the blade sits straight in the razor? Are there nocks that the edges of the blade rest against?
