As an addendum to my reply to your post.. I want others to also know it doesn't just have to be doing for family, it could be friends , co-workers or anyone, even complete strangers.. We need to help each other more these days. Some seem to have forgotten or just never been taught to show compassion to others and to Not just think of themselves.. I would like to challenge others to do something simple for someone today, even if it's nothing more than holding the door for someone. Just show a little kindness and enjoy yourselves... Alright enough of that. I picked my wife up earlier so I'm gonna go enjoy some time talking with her..

In response to the question you asked about what are float chargers....

A float charger provides a very small constant amount of electric current to a battery. This current is enough to compensate self-discharge and to give a gentle charge to the cells, still underdosed to not overcharge the battery.

Trickle Charger- constant small voltage, runs the risk of Over Charging a battery.
Float Charger- charges to a certain point, and shuts off. When the battery is detected at a certain drained volt, then the charger automatically turns on, and keeps it at a preset optimal charge.

Or, something like: Trickle is old school, Float is smarter.

Last week I drove across the supposedly most dangerous bridge in the U.S., in Brookport Illinois. Pfft. It's just Model T narrow.

Looks like the bridge from Lambertville, NJ into New Hope, PA. Gotta pull in your side mirrors or you'll lose 'em.

Semis are verboten. They use the I-24 bridge a few miles off to the right.

Bought and installed a new mirror and light above the sink in the bathroom. SWMBO and I chose together. Yes, I did have a say when choosing which mirror and lamp. Or she made me believe that I had a say. ;)

I helped and showed my son how to rebuild the brakes on his truck. It would have been more profitable to not burn 3 hrs of work, and pay a place to do the brake job, but my son wouldn't have learned anything.

I would have gone with the Tappan Zee Bridge in NY/NJ......as you exit the bridge you feel like you're driving IN THE WATER.

Been over that bridge many times, never got that sense.
Tappan Zee is gone, now. Replaced by the Gov. Cuomo bridge. It runs higher over the river than the T.Z. did.

Sounds great, until you add up the child support.
