The Tabac Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Damaskeene OC Razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My second time using this Sheep soap from Captain Nemo in Kolkata, India and I think it’s a delight. First of all it has a beautiful scent which is very old school and clean with a mild lavender note, the lather is very rich, cushiony, and protective, not to mention how comfortable the postshave feeling is. The Thayer’s Lavender witch hazel hardly has any scent to it but it’s so soothing, and the Proraso Red aftershave smells so beautiful but it doesn’t clash with the Polo Green. Three passes with my Goodfella did it for me - another brilliant, comfortable BBS shave!

Razor : Razorock Game changer .84- Mfg 2018>, tame mid range, well built and affordable, machining & finish QC is spot on. I like to use a Kai SS extra wide blade in this razor that gives it a nice bump up in efficentcy because it reaches the low lying whiskers. Stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Kai SS Extra wide (1)- sharp and Smoooth + excellent longevity for a DE blade.
Soap : Razorock XXX Fresco(slightly mentholated), nice unique fresh scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Bali" 24 mm silvertip- excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, very nice gentle scrubber + excellent painter. Smaller unique beehive handle with a excellent knot.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX Fresco with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my RR GC .84 with a Kai SS extra wide blade.

Wednesday morning’s Grand Freeze:

There’s nothing like a good tallow based soap for thick, rich, super slick lather and my brother Fernando’s Peppermint Lime has all that as well as a beautiful scent which is exactly what it implies - peppermint with lime. This soap also packs a wicked menthol punch that gets stronger and stronger with each pass but the postshave feeling is so soothing as well as comfortable. The Prep really needs no explanation because it’s my favourite balm, and the Peppermint Lime aftershave is witch hazel based so it never burns or stings, it has the same delightful scent as the soap, and it freezes the living crap out of you. Three glorious passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave that was so much fun!

Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72- Mfg Jan 2021>, mid range, well designed and built from 316 SS with excellent machining and finish QC. Excellent blade clamping + easy to remove hairs in the nose area. Carefree shave today.
Soap : Razorock XXX Fresco slightly mentholated, nice XXX clean unique scent with excellent lather qualities.
Blade : Gillette Perma-sharp (1) very sharp & smooth + longevity unknown, 1st use. Impressed so far!
Brush : Yaqi " Sagrada Familia" 22mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, soft pillow like tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Small handle for those folks that fancy that + not a lather hog either!
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX Fresco with slight menthol kick with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette Perma-sharp blade.
