    Thank you Gary.....putting the Gillette under the warm sink tap for a few seconds thickens the cream, which I prefer to it being squiggly(like a snake).

    Excellent shave this morning. An almond size scoop of soap yielded a voluminous lather with plenty to spare. The Shore Shave synthetic whipped up a very nice lather. The slickness of the lather allowed the blade to easily do its job without any mishaps, irritation or sneaky weepers. All good in the neighborhood.

    I decided to use one of my Aust razors. I bought this shave ready razor a few yrs. ago from Maggard's and it still is sharp.
    I don't need to bore you with the performance of Stirling soaps because it is always excellent.
    Did a two pass shave for an errorless, smooth comfortable shave. I didn't get any feedback from the alum block as well as the matching, alcohol-based aftershave. Have a good evening.
