Not only do I look handsome and sexy (at least to my wife) I also smell so gorgeous and sexy. This De Vergulde Hand stick has the same beautiful old school scent as the soap in the bowl version, it lathers like crazy, and it’s very skin friendly - at least to me. The matching balm is so moisturizing as well as soothing and it gives a mild but pleasant menthol sensation. The matching aftershave spray smells as gorgeous as the soap and balm - a pity that it was discontinued. It was sent to me by another Dutch fellow who’s an old friend of mine. Three glorious passes gave me a helluva great BBS shave!

Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72, Mfg Jan 2021>, mid range, well designed and machining and finish QC is excellent.
Very nice to work under the nose area, mostly carefree shaving this morning with a new blade.(Impressed)
Blade : Gillette Perma sharp (2) sharp & smooth , Longevity? unknown yet. Folks claim it is a good blade, Yup agree!
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood, this is a splendid soap with a nice scent of Bayrum & sandal wood with some clove. This is such a nice different change up than the other soaps I use. It has excellent lather qualities but lathers differently than my other soaps also. You have to experiment a little and apply to a wet face is what I do.
Brush : Yaqi "Mysterious space" 24mm silver tip(3band), excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, nice gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter. Nice handle and great knot makes for good shaving experience.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : witch hazel beard cleanse of soap residual + Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette Perm-sharp blade.

Nice one…the razor as well as the brush are a loan of a friendly member in our FB-Group here in Germany.

The shave went well even if i had 3 little bloodspots on my neck. The razor felt not that aggressive, but you felt the blade definitely. Against the grain it was not that comfortable and smooth as i had wished for, but maybe it was the blade which had it´s 6th use today. On Sunday i will try a fresh blade just to see if maybe the blade has been the „problem“.

The brush is also a loan of this member. He kindly send me this razor and two brushes to try. The next brush will be tested on Sunday. I like it floppy, so this brush was not my cup of tea. Don ´t get me wrong, it lathered the soap very good, but for my liking the knot is too dense with a bit too much of backbone. But i LOVE the camouflage look of the handle. Man, this looks so beautiful.

Sudsy Soapery…i am so glad that i discovered this artisan. The lather is so wonderful. Very good cushion, rich and dense lather and the glide is excellent. Very very happy with it. Could it be that Sudsy Soapery is flying under the radar too much? I guess…won ´t be the last soap of them.

All in all 3 good passes. It was a fun shave.

Blade: Super-Max Blue Diamond Titanium. (D2)
Frankenrazor: Yaqi Mellon DOC Head / Schmidt R10 Stainless Steel Handle.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse. / Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. / Nivea Men 2 Phase + P&G Old Spice Original ASL Mixture. / Cien Aloe Vera Body Lotion.

Early morning shave.

A Superb shave from the Frankenrazor /Super-Max Blue Diamond Titanium blade to finish my shaving week off on a high note.

The in-expensive Yaqi mellon DOC razor head pairs together with the weighty Schmidt R10 handle wonderfully making a well balanced Frankenrazor which feels solid and comfortable to use.

A very comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Aloe Vera Body Lotion.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.

Grabbed a mug of hot water from the tea kettle and enjoyed a nice comfortable 2 pass shave.

The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap lathered well with the SlimGem Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Techmatic and the Techmatic Band Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

I don't have it(save for the aforementioned small soap and cologne spritz. You're right, it's meant for this kind of weather.
