    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
    Pears Original Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Anbbas 24mm Synthetic.
    Bowl Lather.
Bowl : Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: HWF Lanolin Shaving Soap (No.2) with Tea Tree & Lavender essential oils.
Razor: Merkur 39c Slant. (Face) - RK Stainless. (D1)
Razor: Supply V2. (Head/Dome)- Personna Injector PTFE. (D2.)

    Post:
Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Alum Rub. / Cold Water Face & Head Rinse. Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. / Brut ASL + Splash-On Lotion/ Nivea Men Replenishing PSB./Milton Lloyd America Night EdT.

A new shave set up to start the Weekend. The last 2 month or so i have been revisiting various sub-continent DE blade.. Throughout the blade focus I have had some different results from them but never bad ones, all have been totally acceptable.

The Merkur 39c slant is such a solidly built smooth non-aggressive, yet efficient razor with a hefty weight and more aggressive than it's smaller handled sibling the 37c. Both razor when ever I've added them in my razor rotation the shaving results have consistently good. Today was no exception.

If I had to choose which i prefer out of the 37c & 39c, then the 37c would be my choice, purely because i prefer the smaller handle on the 37c has grip which gives me better precision and control when shaving.
Both razors I consider non-aggressive feeling razors, yet very efficient at the same time. The scallops on the top cap make the razor feel extremely smooth which is great for my sensitive & problem areas.
As always, the dependable Supply V2 provided me with a effortlessly smooth head shave. SE razors are such smooth efficient shavers.

A close comfortable face and head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd America Night EdT to the chest & pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling super smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Closed out(until next time)the Bill Neumann duo. I was super duper pleased with the Neumann shaves. 2 passes. Zero cuts, Knicks, polka-dots. The only rough ares is the Ingrown Swamp area. That may be it with all shaves. The challenge, then, is to do an outstanding job everywhere else. I believe I did today. Clean and fresh in all places except Ingrown, More playing around down at Cactus. What do I mean by that. Rotatitng directions-N to S, S to N. Then there's the angling part that @wristwatchb told me to try(NW to center, NE to center). Neumann Heartwood A.S. was great, after a few shakes. Overall, Very Outstanding. Turning to sophisticated goo for the next two shaves.

Terrific shaves Barry. I have to do a headshave and a face shave as well. I will get using my Rockwell 6C for the task. Enjoy your afternoon.

Rockwell Razor Co. is launching the Model T2 version in stainless steel and will be available Jan. 31. The price is $250. I like my 6C and T2 razors, but I believe Rockwell priced itself out of the market with the new T2 stainless steel iteration. You can get a Rex Ambassador for $295 and I still think the original $249 price was way too much. I think paying $150 for a safety razor is still too much. What do you think?

Thank you, Joe. I've always read great reviews on both the Rockwell 6C & 6S, I'm lead to believe that the only difference is the weight of the 6S, and the vast majority prefer the 6C. Enjoy your day.

Great setup Barry. I agree with your assessment of the two Merkur slants. They're very smooth, but pleasantly efficient at the same time!

I'm with you on the prices. As much as I might want some of the newer razors I'm too frugal (cheap).

I am looking at it as a straight razor shaver. The resale value on these modern safety razors decades from now will not be great and I really don't think the craftsmanship will hold like a vintage razor, i.e. Gillette Fatboys and Slims, GEMs, Schicks, etc.
I spent a little fortune on my Max Sprecher and ArtRazor straights and to me it was worth it. Safety Razor shavers would say that I am crazy. It really depends on one's perspective and of course their discretionary income as to what one will purchase.

i don't think you are crazy..you ordered a one of,built to your spec razor.nothing wrong with that.as for safety razors, the current prices reflect demand on vintage stuff, that and mint NOS sets are drying up maybe..as for the modern ss ones, they are hand made and are produced in vastly smaller numbers compared to vintage stuff.it will be fun to watch.so many factors at play.
folks reselling modern are trying to recoup their costs.if a model/brand really takes off and is widely liked they could hold their value quite well.:):eatdrink047:
