Wednesday evening - finally home from the hospital: Hot shower Two hot towels Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Rapira day 3 Stirling Electric Sheep SS Proraso Blue ASB English Leather AS Splash Does it ever feel good to be BBS again - to be honest I never realized how tough my beard was because I needed SIX passes to get it all off. It was such a pleasure to smell the Electric Sheep soap and to enjoy that awesome rich, slick, soothing lather. The Proraso Blue balm and the English Leather aftershave were both a great pleasurable combination. Nothing much to do now except to rest up and do my physiotherapy. Menthol Monday: A sensational Grand Freeze! L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Rapira day 7 Stirling Glacial Citron SS Prep ASB Stirling Glacial Citron AS Splash This Junjie may be cheaper than dirt and it’s definitely on the milder as well as the minimal aggressive side but is it ever terrific and efficient particularly if it’s loaded with a sharp blade like a Russian Rapira. As always Rod’s Glacial Citron soap delivered wonderful lather that turned out so thick, rich, incredibly slick, I enjoyed the gorgeous citrusy scent, the menthol sensation hit me like two tons of frigid bricks, and the postshave feeling was so comfortable. The Prep enhanced the soothing and moisturizing while the Glacial Citron aftershave with the same scent as the matching soap and the intense menthol kick made me smell and feel super duper. Menthol Monday: My Grand Freeze for today! L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Rapira day 14 Stirling Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo SS Prep ASB Fine Snake Bite AS Splash Man oh man I have icicles in my face - even this L’Oréal Men Expert facial Wash has some menthol in it. The Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap has always been a top favourite of mine and I wish Rod would bring it back. The scent is so gorgeous, the tallow formula gives it such fantastic lather that whips up so easily, there’s lots of slickness as is the case like every Stirling soap, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep delivered its own special postshave care, and the Snake Bite aftershave has no discernible scent but it’s another menthol atom bomb. L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Rapira day 8 Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade SS Prep ASB Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade AS Splash Menthol to the max this morning - this Glacial Strawberry Lemonade soap and aftershave are both so intense. The scent is absolutely gorgeous - to me it’s more towards strawberry but the lemon is still detectable, the tallow formula promotes such awesome lather with super slickness, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the skincare is A1. The Prep and the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave were a perfect finish. Three passes gave me a mighty fine BBS shave that was lotsa fun even if I say so myself!
