Another fine start to the day. Following dropping my son at school for early morning extra help I proceeded to take a 40 minute walk up and down the hills of Port Jefferson. There was a nice chill in the air at 7 AM but it did not deter me from having a nice walk.

Upon arriving g home at warm shower and wonderful shave have set the tone for the rest of the day. I am goi g to keep myself busy with a little painting of the ceiling in the bathroom and other chores. Of course the X3 Bsr will come out to play in the early afternoon.

Hope you all have a great day.

Well I made it to 100 consecutive daily shaves for the first time since I joined TSD and my skin can definitely handle it.
I decided to use my first ever open blade razor for this momentus occasion. 99% of the time, I get great shaves with it and thus afternoon was no exception. Moreover, I finally sank my least favorite Stirling Soap and it will never grace my den again. Goodbye Frankincense and Myrrh, it wasn't nice to know you. However, I still will remember you because I still have the matching aftershave. I guess there's no need for a tiebreaker Joe @JACarbone.
Anyway, I did an errorless 3 pass shave that gave me a nice, comfortable and close shave. I had minimal alum feedback, but I expected it because I normally don't do 3 passes. Splashed on the matching aftershave to end this shave.
My final thoughts on my 100 daily consecutive shaves. I still can get away with not shaving every day which doesn't surprise me. It's also not challenging to me to shave every day because my stubble is not thick because I get a near BBS in one pass. However, I feel that I have the option to shave at the 24 hr mark vs going to 36 hrs or more. Therefore, I may have weeks where I go to of my old schedule of 30 to 36 hrs or my newfound schedule of shaving everyday. The good thing is I am not locked in to shave at a certain time or schedule. Take care.

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.
    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
    Pears Original Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: omega 10066.
    Face Lather.
    Lather: LEA Shave Stick.
    Blade: Ninja Stainless. (D2)
    Razor: Merkur 37C Slant.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse. / Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. /Cien Aqua + Sensitive ASB.

    Greetings,

A wonderful early morning shave to finishing my shaving week off superbly. The Ninja Stainless/Merkur 37c duo has been very smooth and consistent throughout the week.

Slant razors have a reputation of been dangerously aggressive , and "not for beginners", both the 37C & 39C like it's bigger sibling are very efficient razors which can mow down a heavy beard with no mercy, and probably won't be suited to everyone's taste's... but to be honest, IMHO both razors are no more dangerous than any other efficient DE razor that I have in my humble collection.

The Merkur 37C 39C & Parker 55SL semi-slant i consider all to be comfortably efficient mild feeling razors and don't require any special angle or technique, to get a good irritation free smooth shave.
Out of the three the Merkur 39c is the most efficient due to it's hefty handle, and the Parker 55SL the least efficient, but all three razors feel comfortable to use and deliver a close comfortable shave.
They are like any other kind of razor which will bite you if you don't treat them with respect & follow the common sense rules of wet shaving, just like you do with any other razor.

The Lea shave stick is absolutely superb, not just for it's price tag, but most importantly for it's performance & post shave feel.

Since i added the Omega 10066 boar brush it has became a firm favourite. I find it to be a wonderful performer for both bowl & face lathering.

A very comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report. finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

Today is a repeat of yesterday so, no photos. I am relaxing.
Freezing rain to rain today...waiting for the shoe to drop....we have been pretty lean with the snow this year and I am waiting for momma nature to catch up. March will prolly be a doozy!
I have only used the snow blower once and dozer blade twice. Pretty light so far...

Boy, I can do better than I did on this Throwback Thursday. Shux. I got more soap on my brush than before, which should have been a great sign. Yeah-NOPE. While the cheeks&sideburns and North Porcupine Alley came out great, everywhere else had problems. One cut and 2 Knicks across South Porcupine(chin), which threw me off stride a bit as I got down to Cactus(neck). That is a great example of our big saying "Technique Trumps Tools"-that I did so well ABOVE S. Porccupine, but had the problems down South and at Cactus. At leat no redness down there. 2 passes. The skin-loving Bill Neumann A.S. controlled SOME of the redness, not all. Same arsenal tomorrow, and I will do better than the Pretty Outstanding that this shave deserved.

Today was fine but, yesterday, I got swingin' my razor around wildly and cut one of my nostrils! Lifted the razor too high. Face was fine tho. I now know that you can't trim nose hairs with a DE razor! It's just too wide to fit in yer nose!
