I transferred the remaining soap into my Aesop SS bowl. You know what that means?
Yup, it means the light at the end of the tunnel.
Before I swoon, there are quite a few shaves to be had, before the death bell starts tolling.

The Super-Speed was awesome. It held the Gillette blade securely and looked great doing so.
Swiss Arabian for the Middle-Eastern finish.

The opener of my 3017 project didn't go so well. At least I worked it down a bit, in 3017 terms. THAT part was good.

Keep going, Paul. We're cheering for you. At least you're not using Arko. :happy093:

I like to joke about it, Paul, but Arko is one of the best-performing soaps I've used. I've been 'airing out' this particular stick since mid-November on my sink top, and the characteristic odor is mostly gone.

My remaining stick of Arko is also unwrapped and airing out in the garage. It should be ready for use by summer. :D

I'm also trying something similar with the Chiseled Face Midnight Stag soap. The open container is also doing its thing in the garage. I think the soap scent is going to mellow into something quite nice (according to my schnoz).

Same set up the past two days.
One of the real advantages to 3017ing a soap is the ability to truly dial in the lather day after day regardless of brush and other factors (hence the origins of the 30 day focus, but I digress). This soap needs to be loaded until it is thick and pasty and doesn’t need to be watered all the way until thinning out. It has been thick and slick.

managed to mow down the stubble.
I want to say, we are very fortunate to have such an amazing group of members (99% at least) who frequent
this thread and most of TSD.
I have realized, that I cannot change people's behavior and can only conduct myself in the manner I would wish to be treated by others.
TSD is still the "Internet" with its share of trolls, but thankfully, there's an ignore button.
Thanks for making TSD a great respite from the rest of the world!

So much for keeping up with daily shaves. I feel off the wagon and it ran me over. I will try to do better go forward. If not this MWF is going to take a very long time to finish. Early morning shave with an evening post. Despite being what many would call a mild razor, the AS-D2 mowed down several days of growth with ease. I really enjoy this using this lineup.

Day 2 of my 3017 went much better than yesterday. The brush was the Maggard Marble Handle, all else was the same as the opener. Great job all around.I was quite careful going over yesterday's cuts and Knicks around S. Porcupine. No additional pain. Much better down at Cactus Nation. 2 passes. This one gets the top grade-As Outstanding As It Gets.
